The building is defined as any structure which is relatively permanent
closed construction over a plot of land.
For this practical training, I reported at office of Mr. Zakir Pathan. They first
gave me theoretical knowledge about the site. And they started to show some of their
previous projects.
I have reported their ongoing site of residential house at Muzaffar Nagar
Malegaon. He further ordered me to join project site. The site incharge Mr. Fahad meet
me at the site and gives brief introduction of this project as under

SITE PLAN AND PLANNING OF BUILDING
The planning of the building has the most important role in civil engineering
because well designed building has the comfort and good working condition for the
people who live and work in it
The project on which i take training it is a construction of residential buildings.
This building is designed very carefully by keeping the following views:
o Proper ventilation
o Parking area
o Kids playing area
This building is situated at the Muzaffar Nagar Malegaon, there are the
environment condition is sunny and hot arid zone also there have good rain fall
Observation and questioning:
As this was our first visit to any construction site as to learn something and
complete our internship for a particular duration even though pursuing our education, we
have seen many buildings being constructed but to observe something as a civil engineer
was a different experience. We observe think and ask question to the workers and
relevant person present they are starting from basic of construction
Removing of Tiles of Rooms:
The tiles of the residential house is already very loose and had removed very
easily. The workers removed the tiles by using chisel, crowbar and hammers. Although
some tiles are got broken due to hammering.
Removing of tiles of bathroom:
As compared to the rooms the tiles are quite hard and very caused very
problematic scenario as they are removing after broking them but the workers are
managed somehow by using vibrators. This alone tiles of bathroom consumed whole
day itself.
Filling of cracks in wall: Various walls have bigger cracks and for it grouting
process are used and cracks are filled with the cement paste.
Colouring:
After filling the cracks colouring process is started. Interior colouring is done.
Paints are imported from MIDC Dhule and transported to the malegaon. Then colouring
is done in the duration of 1 week.
Repairing of compound wall:
After doing survey we have observed that compound wall is broken and then
repairing work is started and this work is currently ongoing.
SEQUENCE OF EXECUTION OF WORK
o Clearing site
o Removing of tiles
o Laying of tiles
o Polishing of tiles
o Cleaning of cracks
o Filling of cracks
o Wall putty
o Colouring
o Finishing

o Construction of compound wall
Lots of knowledge was acquired after the successful completion of the
internship. Many basics of civil engineering were practically known. This internship
turned to be a source of knowledge in civil engineering. There was Valuable guidance of
Engineer Mr. Zakir Pathan who cleared many concepts of civil engineering on site.
Thanks to him for his valuable guidance in completing my internship successfully.
