KEN: Mao! As in, super pasalamat mi nimo. Busa, dapat mag-celebrate ta!

MIA: (Thinks for a moment) Uhm… okay. Isa lang ka-gabii.

(The boys cheer, and they walk away together.)

Scene 5:
(Setting: A bar. Everyone is drinking and dancing. Mia, unfamiliar with the place, just sips her
drink.)

(Marco discreetly drops a pill into her drink while she is distracted.)

JAMES: Cheers, Mia! Wala nay problema, relax lang ta.

(Mia unknowingly drinks from her glass. The night goes on.)

(The boys exchange glances, pretending not to know what she’s talking about.)

JAMES: Huh? Unsay pasabot nimo?

MIA: Buntis ko! (Tears forming) Kinsa? Kinsa sa inyo?

AYA: (Frowning) Unsa problema nimo?

MIA: Ate… (pauses, then takes a deep breath) Buntis ko.

(Silence. Then suddenly, Aya slaps her.)

AYA: Unsa?! Giunsa nimo pagbuhat ani? Kabalo ka sa akong sakripisyo! Ngano, Mia?!

(Mia sobs, unable to respond. Aya raises her hand again, but their father speaks up.)

FATHER: Aya, tama na.

(Aya looks at her father, shocked. He gently pulls Mia into a hug.)

FATHER: Anak, wala na ta mahimo. Ang importante, buhi ang bata. Dili ta angay magdumot,
kay ang kinabuhi grasya sa Ginoo.

(Aya breathes heavily, her anger turning into guilt. She kneels beside them and hugs Mia tightly.)

AYA: Pasayloa ko, Mia…

(Mia cries harder, holding onto her sister and father. The three of them embrace, accepting the
painful reality together.)
