REVIEWER: Fundamental of Criminal Justice

Intelligence services of the Philippines are maintained through four agencies.


 National Bureau of Investigation of the Department of Justice (DOJ)
 National Counter-Terrorism Action Group
 National Intelligence Coordinating Agency
 Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency
 Naval Intelligence and Security Force (NISF), Philippine Navy
 Intelligence Service, Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP)

2. Protective Security - Refer to a person being protected or the object of secret service.

3. Frederick the Great - Father of organized Military Espionage.

4. Complete background investigation - is a review of all available public records for an individual, including: Driving
records, Education and employment history, Criminal records, Financial history, and Social media.

5. Partial Background investigation - An inquiry into specific phases of an individual's life history

 Partial discharge investigation

A physical phenomenon that occurs when discharges take place in weak electrical regions of solid insulation
materials

 Partial dam-break investigation


An investigation that examines various dam-break scenarios, such as different water depths in the reservoir, wet
and dry downstream conditions, and more.

6. CORPUZ Delicti - The body of the crime or the existence of a fact that specific loss or injury was sustained.

7. CLASS ll - document classifications wherein the loss or damage of which will pose a threat to operations.

8. CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION - It is an art which deals with the identity and location of the offender and provides evidence
of his guilt in criminal proceedings.

9. ADMISSION - Statement of facts and circumstances made by the accused in a criminal case which do not directly involve the
acknowledgement of guilt in the commission of the criminal itself.

10. Four Categories of Classified Matters:

1. Top Secret – Information and material whose unauthorized disclosure would cause exceptionally grave damage to the Country.
Considered to be irreplaceable official matters the unauthorized disclosure of which would cause exceptionally grave damage to the interest
of an establishment since it is vital to its survival.

2. Secret – Information and material whose unauthorized disclosure would endanger national security, cause serious injury to the
interest and prestige of a nation or of any government activity or would be of great advantage to a foreign NATION OR This contains
operational procedures and guidelines wherein loss or compromise would hamper operations but may easily be restored.

3. Confidential – Information and material whose unauthorized disclosure would be prejudicial to the interest or prestige of the
nation or government activity or would cause administrative embarrassment or unwarranted injury to an individual or would be an advantage
to a foreign nation.

4. Restricted – Information and material that require special protection other than that determined to be top secret, secret or
CONFIDENTIA OR duly processed intelligence reports not made available for public consumption

5. CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION - It is an art which deals with the identity and location of the offender and provides evidence
of his guilt in criminal proceedings.

7. CONFESSION – It is direct acknowledgement guilt acknowledging his guilt

8. INSTRUMENTATION - tool of investigation using the application of instrument and methods of physical sciences in the detection

9. SCOTLANDYARD - It refers to clandestine or secret means of obtaining information.

either abreast or on the opposite side of the street.

20. ONE MAN SHADOW - foot surveillance conducted by one person in shadowing the subject.

21. A – INTELLIGENCE OPERATION - police activity which increases the number of arrest of criminal syndicate members.

22. CHAIN OF CUSTODY - It is the number of person who handled and possessed the pieces of evidence the moment they were
collected, marked and tagged up to the time of the disposition of the case.

23. SUN – TZU - he notable intelligence officer who wrote a book the coined words states “If you know the enemy and know yourself.
You need not fear the results of a hundred battles; if you know yourself and not the enemy”

824. SUBJECT- It is the person o place being watched or surveyed

25. CIRCUMSTANTIAL EVIDENCE - It is the identification established indirectly by proving other facts or circumstances
from which, either alone or in connection with other facts, the identity of the suspects can be inferred. Choose your answer below.

the witness

43. Cryptography - Defined as an art and science and making, devising and protecting codes and ciphers.

44. ORDER OF Battle - This outline the primary threat to national security hence occupies the greatest attention and concern of
intelligence operatives.

45. COMMITMENT ORDER. - court order issued to transfer the respondent to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology

46. Mitimus - he court order issued by the court to the jail warden to transfer the convicted prisoner to the Bureau Corrections

47. WALSINGHAM OF England - Known protector of Queen Elizabeth l, who organized the British secret police to detect the naval
operation and fleet movement of Portugal.

48. Reliability, - An evaluation code of F4 would mean that the intelligence data

49. INDUSTRIAL INTELLIGENCE - Refers to the gathering of intelligence pertaining to the manufacturing techniques processes
from formulas which may be of great use and value.
