FUNCTIONS OF APPLIED SOCIAL SCIENCES
MELCs: Explain each of the functions of applied social sciences
Identify situations that would require or necessitate the performance of the various
functions
In the previous lessons, applied social sciences, particularly Counseling, Social Work, and
Communication were developed as a response to the need of understanding and solving personal, community,
and societal issues. These two lessons look into the functions of the abovementioned disciplines.
Overarching Question: What is the importance of the applied social sciences?
