CURRENT REGISTRATION TYPES

1. Normal Provisional Registration.


Registration modality that lasts for a period of one year, until the documentation
required for permanent registration is completed.
2. Provisional Registration Subject to Resolutory Condition.
Registration modality that lasts three months, while the required documentation is
completed (Certificate of Cancellation of the previous flag) for the Normal Provisional
Registration.
3. Normal Permanent Registration.
Registration modality that lasts five years, after having completed the documentation
required for this type of registration.
4. Temporary Registration (Special).
Registration modality that has a maximum duration of three months, to make a trip,
whether for delivery, testing or for demolition or scrapping. This type of registration is
not valid for commercial exchange trips and its Cancellation is automatic so it does not
require the issuance of any certificate, and only at the request of the shipowner can
the corresponding certificate be issued depending on the case.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SHIP REGISTRATION

1. Copy of the “Quotation Request” duly completed.


2. Copy of the approved and signed “Quotation”.
3. Copy of the “Application Registry Form” Form duly completed and signed;
4. Copy of the “Power of Attorney” granted in favor of the ship's representative. (If it
is a Legal Entity or a person other than the ship's owner).
5. Copy of the “Power of Appointment of the Legal Representative” domiciled in
Bolivia (if the ship is a passenger, fishing or tanker type (that transports oil,
chemicals or gas)).
6. Current copy of the "Insurance Document" or "Financial Guarantee" (Blue Card
issued by a P&I Club), (if the ship is a tanker type that transports a load equal to or
greater than 2000 tons of bulk product of: crude oil, fuel oil, heavy diesel oil and
lubricating oils) (CLC 69)
7. Current copy of the "Insurance Document" or "Financial Guarantee" (if the ship is a
tanker type that transports a load of less than 2000 tons of bulk product: crude oil,
fuel oil, heavy diesel oil and lubricating oils).
8. Current copy of the "Insurance Document" or "Financial Guarantee" (Blue Card
issued by a P&I Club) (if the ship has a TRB equal to or greater than 1000) (Bunker
Convention 2001).
9. Current copy of the "Insurance Document" or "Financial Guarantee" (if the vessel
has a GRT equal to or greater than 300) (Nairobi Convention 2007).
10. Current copy of the "Insurance Document" or "Financial Guarantee" if the ship is a
tanker type that transports chemicals (SNP Convention 2010).
11. Copy of the certification that entered dry dock no later than three years prior to
your registration request if the ship construction date is greater than or equal to
20 years.
12. Copy of the shipowner's “Affidavit” not to get involved in drug trafficking and
criminal acts.
13. Copy of the “Letter of Confirmation from the Authority of the Radio Accounts”
Responsible (if the ship has its services).
14. Copy of the “Ship construction plans” for newly built ships (does not apply to
existing ships).
15. Current “ship photos” (bow, stern and sides).
16. Copy of the current “Fishing License” issued by the Bolivian Maritime Fisheries
Unit-UBPM (if the type of vessel is fishing).
17. Certificate of Cancellation of the Previous Flag (Deletion Certificate). If the ship is
new or acquired by auction, this document is NOT required;
18. Copy of any of the following documents that prove ownership of the ship:
 “Bill of Sale” for existing warehouse or;
 “Construction Certificate” if the warehouse is newly built or;
 “Auction Acquisition Document” or;
 “Charter Contract” (Bareboat Charterparty) and owner's ownership document
(when the ship is chartered).

* To begin with the registration procedure the Quotation Request and the Application Registry
Form are mandatory and they are attached to this email.
