a. identify 5 Biotic Factors that can be found in the ecosystem;

b. list down at least 1 different habitat that can be found in an estuarine ecosystem;
and
c. explain the need to protect and conserve organisms that can be found in
estuaries in 2-3 sentences.

are these non-living factor class? Can you give
me example?

Have you enjoyed watching class?

Good to here that.

Yes teacher!
Biotic Factor

is a living organism that shapes its

environment.

For example class, in a freshwater ecosystem

organisms like plants, fish, amphibians and
many more;

- Bird ma’am
- Fish
- Water lily
- Grass
- Duck
- Frog

are considered as biotic factor since ,Biotic

factors refer to all living organisms from
animals and humans, to plants, fungi, and
bacteria. All living things in a ecosystem is
called biotic factor class.
- Biotic factors
So based on the picture class what are the ma’am refers to all living
living things that you see? organisms ma’am.

Very good, all that you have mentioned are a

biotic factors.

So what does biotic factor mean again class?

Very good!

Now let’s know what are the biotic factors

living in a habitat that can be found in the
estuarine ecosystem.

Estuarine ecosystem

Is an area of the sea where salt and fresh

water meet, and it is the area where marine
animals usually reproduce.

Habitats that can be found in estuarine

ecosystem are:

Mangrove Forest
- Yes ma’am
https://marine-conservation.org/blueparks/awardees/tubbataha
- Because the mangrove
Mangroves are areas in an estuary that are tree ma’am is a living
filled with mangrove trees. These trees have organism.
adopted in a saltwater. Mangroves protect the
coasts against erosion caused by waves,
winds, and tides. They also protect coral reefs
and seagrass beds from silting or the
deposition of sand.

Is the mangrove tree class considered a biotic

factor?

Why?

Very good.

So mangrove forests are also the breeding

grounds for different kinds of fish and shellfish.

Other organisms found in the mangrove

ecosystems are algae, barnacles, oysters,
shrimp, lobsters, and crabs.
https://marine-conservation.org/blueparks/awardees/tubbataha

So this is what the organisms looks like

Coral Reefs - Me teacher

https://marine-conservation.org/blueparks/awardees/tubbataha/

Coral reefs are the areas of estuaries that are

part of the subtidal zone where biodiversity is
rich. Coral reefs provide shelter to thousands
of fish.

Who among you here has seen a coral or has - Because coral reefs

Ok very good. organisms ma’am

When we say Biodiversity class it refers to

the abundance of different living organisms
living in an area.
- Octopus ma’am
- Jelly fish ma’am
Organisms like fish, corals, lobsters, clams, - Shark ma’am
seahorses, sponges, and sea turtles are only a - Dolphin ma’am
few of the thousands of creatures that rely on
reefs for their survival.

Class, why do you think these organisms rely

on the coral reefs for their survival?

Very good.

So aside from the given examples, can you

give me other examples of biotic factors that
can be seen in coral reefs?

Very good class. All that you have mentioned

are correct, those are the biotic factors that
can be seen in coral reefs class. Group 1

Answer:

Group 1

When mangroves are

removed from an
estuarine environment,
many of these
ecosystem services that
aid the survival and
production of fisheries
can be either lost or
diminished in value.

- Ways to prevent
mangrove deforestation
is by supporting
organizations that aims
to protect the ecosystem.

- If we go to the beach,
respect the local habitats
by sticking to the walking
path or hiking trail.

Group 2

- Proper ways of
