INDUSTRIAL PROFILE
The company was incorporated as a Private Limited Company on
2nd July, 1990 under the Companies Act, 1956 under the name of Riddhi
Siddhi Chemicals Private Limited. Subsequently it was converted into a
Public Limited Company on 10th February, 1992 and a fresh certificate of
incorporation was issued on 4th March, 1992 in the name of Riddhi Siddhi
Chemicals Ltd. The name of the company was changed to Riddhi Siddhi
Starch and Chemicals Limited on 10th April, 1992.

-Riddhi Siddhi establishes plant in Karnataka

2007
-Riddhi Siddhi Gluco Boils Ltd has increased the Maize grinding capacity
of its Viramgam Unit from 100 tonnes per day to 250 tonnes per day.

-Riddhi Siddhi Board recommends dividend @30%.

Riddhi Siddhi Gluco Biols Limited is a leading

manufacturer of maize based starch industry. It is the largest wet milling
plant of the India Sub Continent having the highest crushing capacity. It
produces the starch of various types, liquid glucose, Dextrose
Monohydrate, Malto Dextrin, Dextrose syrup, High Maltose corn Syrup
and the byproducts like Corn Gluten meal, Enriched fiber etc.

Riddhi Siddhi Gluco Boils Ltd is a public Limited company. It

was established in the year 1992 by Choudary groups, a family of
Ahmedabad. It has its registered office in Ahmedabad. This company has
started its production on 26th January 1996. Their first unit is situated in
Veerangam, Ahmedabad at Gujrat. There are 4 units of the factory all
over India at Ahmedabad, Gokak and Pondicherry & Uttaranchal.

K.G. GLUCO BOILS LTD(KGGBL) was incorporated in April

1987, being promoted by the joint sector by "GLAXO INDIA LTD" and
"Karnataka State Industrial Investment & Development corporation" for
setting up an integrated maize processing unit at gokak in belagavi
district.
This project was initially appraised in 1987 and the cost estimated to be
financed by the equity share capital of Rs701 lakh from the Indian
Financial Institution & Banks of Rs 1400 lakh, from KSSIIDC & central
subsidy of Rs 15 lakh. It was estimated that the project would be
commissioned by January 1, 1989 but the project suffered from time
planning & implementation. Project was reprepared in august 1990 and
the cost was determined to be Rs 3101lakh. The company has rated
capacity to process Rs 50,000 TPA of maize into its derative. In reality, the
plant could only process above 23000 of maize into 6600TPA of Dextrose
monohydrate & 3300 TPA of malto dextrin.

Stores Department: The Stores Department is performing the function

of Materials Management to achieve the objective of procuring goods of
right quality in right quantity at right time form right vendor at right price.

Maintenance Department: The maintenance department is

responsible for how the facility runs, from equipment to interior and
exterior areas, machinery, maintenance, and the budget to keep things

Effluent Treatment Plant. (E.T.P): An Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)

is a specialized facility designed to treat and purify industrial wastewater
before its safe discharge into the environment.

Water Treatment Plant. (W.T.P): The water treatment plant uses

rapid rate multi-media gravity filter beds. The filters are comprised of a
top layer of anthracite, a middle layer of filter sand and then a bottom
layer of garnet sand and one an underdrain system that collects the
filtered water.

Personnel Department: The Department of Personnel and Training

(DoPT) is the Government of India's nodal agency for the formulation and
implementation of personnel policies, as well as the selection,
placement, and production of human resources engaged in public

As the name suggests this department is entrusted with the
work of converting raw maize into variety of finished products and
various derivatives. There are two sections, one is starch section and the
other is derivatives section. Starch section converts raw maize to starch
slurry as main product and other bi products. The second section takes

structure for storing bulk materials. Silos are used in agriculture to store
fermented feed known as silage, not to be confused with a grain bin,
which is used to store grains.

Steeping Vats: The large concrete vats are used to boil corn prior to
recovery of the starch from corn. At temperatures of about 70°C, the
addition of SO2 gas forms sulphuric acid (H2SO4) at pH 2.8-4. This
subsequently affects the concrete surface. The manufacturer needed a
concrete structure that would not be affected by the process; PENETRON
technology was the solution.

Maize: Maize or Indian corn (called corn in some countries) is Zea mays,
a member of the grass family Poaceae. It is a cereal grain which was first
grown by people in ancient Central America. Approximately 1 billion
tonnes are harvested every year.

Starch: Starch is a carbohydrate commonly found in nature and one of

the primary sources of food energy for human beings. It is regularly eaten
in the form of wheat, rice, potatoes, and other staple foods cultivated
throughout the world. Alongside fiber and sugar, starch is one of the
three main categories of carbohydrates.

Silage: Maize silage is a good cereal replacement due to high starch

levels, but its protein content is low. If fed with a high-protein
component, it can provide a well-balanced, cost-effective feed for beef
cattle and sheep at key stages in their production cycle.

Serum: It has good sensory qualities for use as a salad and cooking oil.
Corn oil is highly digestible and provides energy and essential fatty acids
(EFA). Linoleic acid is a dietary essential that is necessary for integrity of
the skin, cell membranes, the immune system, and for synthesis of
icosanoids.

Liquid Glucose: Liquid Glucose is an ideal additive for sweets,

confectionary, biscuits, Ice creams, Jams, Jellies, preserves pastries &
liquors due to its moderate sweetness & nutritive value. It also forms the
base of artificial honey.

Dextrose Monohydrate: Dextrose Monohydrate is used in the

production of baked goods, candy and gum, creams and frozen dairy
products (like some ice-creams and frozen yogurts), alcoholic beverages,
jarred and canned foods. It is used as energy food by convalescing
patient, sportsperson, children etc.

SUGGESTION
• The company may provide them many facilities so as to make them
interest in the job. They can incentives and bonus to the
employees; they can give rewards to the employees.
• As the employees are unsatisfied with the leave policies, so the
management has to conduct meeting and make them aware about
the leave policies of the company.
• The top level management has to interact with employee’s oftenly
in order to keep good relationship. And they can maintain friendly
relation with the employees to solve their problems. They may
adopt the open door policy in the company to interact with the
employees. They may also keep suggestion box in the company.
• It is also observed that majority of workers are not aware of the
career planning. The organization should educate them regarding
career prospects for motivating employees.
• A large number of employees also remain frequently absent for
minor illness. It is suggested that medical inspection room with
nursing assistant be provided at the workplace to provide first aid.
• It is also observed that employees are bored doing the same job.
So the company must adopt job rotation in the work place to
motivate the employees.

MY EXPERIENCE IN THE ORGANIZATION

The internship project given for 15 days to study any
organization structure. While I choose an organization named as Riddhi
Siddhi Gluco Boils Ltd Gokak where I learnt how the factory works with
the employees, what are the main things the organization (factory)
wants, what are departments working and what are role employees with
respective department, the organization chart, what is the row material
for the factory and what they will produce.

The staff members of factory provide all necessary

requirements of information and working nature of staff members is well
disciplined and clean systematic manner.

There were many new things to learn in an organization

that all things were guided by employees of a factory and told all things
in detailed information which information which helped me to make a
project easy.

By this internship project, working with a respected

Riddhi Siddhi Gluco Boils Ltd Gokak factory helps me to develop skills and
gain knowledge of financial products.

Overall, my experience in a factory is in positive way.

CONCLUSION
Loyalty of the employees towards the work is greatly
appreciated; It was a great experience in doing project at Riddhi Siddhi
Gulco Boils Ltd and was the great learning experience with respect to the
subject of absenteeism, the work culture and attitude of the employees
towards the colleagues and their supervisor. And there is a cordial
relation between supervisor and the workers.

As per the research it is concluded that. In Riddhi Siddhi

Gluco Boils Ltd absenteeism is high due to many factors. The employees
in this company wants increase in their salary, more health problem and
they want change of work. I suggest providing the medical facilities at the
work place to provide first aid, also to provide incentives and bonus and
more leave facilities, and they have to rotate the job as and when
required.
