So, about this experience,
we’re designing urban solu-
tions for a place called WEST
END in Providence, RI. It’s
a neiborhood near us.

Yunzhi
The site consists a lot his-
panic residences, and had a
lot history impact behind
it. But now, it’s a bit under
maintenance.

Yihan
Now, it’s time to flip the
page and enjoy the record of
our story. It was a semester
long work so... we’ve strug-
gled a lot... But hope you

We can use color coding to
mark underutilized spac-
es, housing shortages, and
missing connections—makes it
easier to see the issues.

Once we confirm the road lay-
out, we can start the model
and maps. No need for too
much detail now, just a clear
direction.

Ziyao
If we finalize the shape, we
can quickly build it in Rhi-
no and laser cut the base, so
we don’t have to spend time
on models.

The proposed community upgrade focuses on addressing
the needs of its
residents through

lower incomes, benefit
from affordable housing
solutions that incorporate
shared spaces to reduce living
costs. The elderly require acces-
sible pathways and dedicated social
areas to foster community engagement
and improve their quality of life.

Essential infrastructure improve-

improved lighting will in-

create an inclusive, well-con-
nected, and dynamic urban en-
vironment that meets the di-
verse needs of its residents.
