Data Transfer Module
Application
The application first requires installation of the PDS Plugin Manager, followed by
installing the Data Transfer Module (DTM) on the enteliWEB server.
To configure the DTM, the operator uses the module configuration pages to
select which services are used. For each service, the operator will set up the
appropriate communication properties, then map the intended data points
between the source data and the local destination data.
DTM operates as an ongoing service to continually update the values at specified
intervals, writing directly to variable (AV, BV) objects in the controllers. Each
DTM installation allows multiple concurrent data connections to handle different
protocol services, with each allowing multiple point types.
Once the DTM has been configured to connect between the external data and
BACnet objects, the values presented in BACnet will be automatically updated
on a periodic basis and can be used in controls sequencing, diagnostics, or to
enhance overall building operations.
