INTRODUCTION

On the-Job Training is part of a college curriculum that aims to train and orient

students about the work and their future career. OJT is very important not only to teach students

regarding their chosen career but also to show students the reality about working. It also helps

the students to acquire relevant knowledge and skills by performing in actual work setting.

OJT also helps the trainee to learn more about his chosen field and practiced what

she has learned from the school. It also enhances the critical thinking abilities and discipline of

the student conducting his training in a company.

However, On the job training is an advantage for the company; the trainees are

the one who helped employees to make the significant works easy & they don’t need to pay for

the other manpower.

Most Importantly, on the job training it also an outlet to build oneself. You can

gain more self-confidence and self-esteem. Aside from learning you can acquire the discipline

and values you can get from the people you work with and the experiences that would teach you

essential things. It is also a way to develop your social abilities in a way of gaining new friends

and knowing new people in the workplace. It would be easy for you to adjust with different

attitude and different environment in the future.

1

PROBLEMS, ISSUES AND RECOMMENDATIONS

In our everyday existence, problems always comes with a different spices mixed on it,
problems that might need an urgent solutions as soon as possible.

15
At the Philippine National Police – Abuyog Police Station, my Host Training
Establishment for almost 540 hours, the establishment has only 4 desktops that placed in
different offices and a printer that used by staff alternatively. Each computer are always lagged
and sometimes it can’t perform with so many tasks. The problem arises when several workloads
needs to be accomplished urgently.

I recommend that they will have an additional computers in their office with a powerful
processors so that, it’s easy for them to finish their paper works in advance. This will help the
office to do their work faster than the current method.

16
REFLECTION/LESSON LEARNED

I started my OJT last January 28, 2019, under the supervision of Mr. Solomon L. Bauya –
Assistant Administrator of PNP Abuyog. During my On-The-Job training, I have to render 540
hours to acquire the experiences in all the activities. I need to complete the said hours in order
for me to provide field experiences, to be trained and achieve computer related works.

I have learned a lot of experience during internship. I familiarize those transactions inside
the office of PNP Abuyog. I also learned to follow the office rules, regulations and guidelines.

Lastly, I develop my social skills and patience in every situation I come up with as an
intern.

Overall, despite of all the challenges, I was blissful and gratified with the new
involvement I do battle with.
