Ok, so about how do people save things really fast on Telegram, we want you to pay
attention to the Saved Messages section. It looks like this:
Whenever you get a course from someone, if the channel/group chat allows forwarding contents,
you can right click on the files that you get, it will look like this:
Then select the messages/files that you want to save like this:
And then click on Forward, choose “Saved Messages”, it looks like this:
If you forward files to saved messages, it will keep the sender name and you can’t change
it. If you want to forward files to somewhere different, you can use the Search toolbar to find a
specific person/channel/group that you want to forward to, and click on that
person/channel/group, it will have the option like this:
As you can see, it shows the sender name. To remove it, on Telegram desktop you need
to simply right click on the name and it will be removed; on phone, tap and hold the sender name
for a bit and it will show the option to hide sender name/hide captions, choose the options that
you want and then you’re all set. Personally, we prefer hide sender name because it keeps the
privacy for the ones that send you those good things, but in case you want another good option to
solve this problem, you can try to search this bot on Telegram named ForwardCoverBot, then
forward your files to it, it will automatically replace the sender name with its name, and you can
forward the files without worry.
Now for the main part: How do you save files so fast?
Answer: We forward them to the saved messages as we’ve explained above, we don’t need to
download them right at the moment.
The second issue: How to open zip files?
Answer: If you have the files named normally like this one, we will take it for the example:
Click on the 7z end file (aka .001 file), and open it normally, DON’T CLICK THE .002
FILE or .003, .004 , etc, you won’t even touch them when you extract the files.
Click on Extract to a specific folder, choose the location you want and do like this:
Choose Process all files in all volumes, and wait for it to extract everything.
But there’s one noticeable problem: if the file name is too long, it will have this “_”
symbol in their name, and I can’t extract them normally, how should we do it?
Answer: for this one you have to be a little bit tricky, there are two ways to extract in case
it shows the name like that. First trick is to edit the name of that file, and the name for all parts
MUST BE THE SAME. Take this for example:
If you click on the .001 files it will show up like this:
As you can see, the file symbol changes to the paper symbol and you can’t see what inside if you
extract it normally. Instead, you have to right click on the file name, and choose “View”, wait for
it to run the process and only after this you can extract the file inside normally.
When it come to this step, do like above, choose extract to a specific folder, if the zip file has
many parts then choose “Process all files in all volumes”, wait for it to extract all and you’re set
. One small note: DON’T CLICK ON .002 .003 .004 etc, only click on .001 file to extract.
That’s for the first way to go, now the second way, but sometimes it won’t work:
You can try to set the file a shorter name, and all parts of the zip files MUST HAVE THE SAME
NAME. We will take the above example as well:
You can change the name like this, don’t forget to add .7z at the last of the WINRAR archive
file’s name:
After this you can click on the file and see if you can extract them normally, if it works then
congrats because this can save your time, otherwise you will still have to right click, choose
“View file”, wait for it to process and only after that you can extract the file.
Tada! It works! But remember it doesn’t work with all files.
And if somehow you can’t extract the files despite having followed all of the steps above, then
check the originally downloaded files if it lacks any part, because for zip files you will need all
of the part to successfully extract everything, otherwise it will show the file as “corrupted”.
