SWOT ANALYSIS STRENGTH

A huge number of not standardized fashion products, not harmonized sizes,


and quality of production are a danger for gaining access to the global
market. SWOT analysis can be of special importance in the apparel
manufacturing industry when used for designing a new article of handbag,
i.e. collection. This article has presented a detailed discussion of the SWOT
analysis of the apparel industry.

P = Personal experience
It provides the SWOT analysis to be based on experience, knowledge, skills,
attitudes, and beliefs because all the observations and personal feelings have
an impact on the SWOT.

O = Order
Marketing managers often confuse features and advantages or disadvantages
and risks, because the line between them is sometimes invisible.

W = Weighting
Certain key elements of the SWOT analysis are often so difficult to
estimate. Because some points are slower than others. Therefore, it is
necessary to use percentage participation.

E = Emphasize Detail
Many details, reasons, and justifications have been omitted in the SWOT
analysis. For example, the technology itself is often both a weakness and an
advantage.

R = Rank and Prioritize


All the facts presented in the SWOT analysis have an impact on the strategy
and that is why it is necessary to classify (rank) them from the highest to the
lowest impact and thus determine the priorities.
For example, if possibilities of a manufacturer for a new collection of
clothing:
The desire of customers for new creations = 25%
Creating a “showroom” facilities = 60%
ADVANTAGES OF HANDBAGS

▶DURABILITY

Perhaps the most important advantage of wearing high-quality handbags is


that they are much more durable than other handbag items. Higher-quality
handbag items are usually termed as such because of the high-quality
materials they use and their manufacturing processes. The fabric used is less
prone to tearing and the stitching is less likely to come apart if exposed to
more extreme conditions. This advantage is particularly important in regard
to outdoor handbag items. These handbag items must protect the wearer
from the outdoor elements and therefore require a heavy and reliable fabric
to do the job well. As such, high-quality outdoor handbag brands—such as

Durability and longevity go hand-in-hand. When a handbag is made with

stand the test of time without compromising its integrity. High-quality
handbag items do not need to be replaced as often as their low-quality
counterparts, saving the wearer time, money, and frustration. Some high-

PLAN AD CAMPAIGN

The Media Strategy process has three “W”s to be decided.

They are mentioned below:


1 Where to advertise?
2 When to advertise?
3 What media type to use?

Where is the place for showing or delivering the advertisement?

In short, it means the geographical area from where it should be visible to the
customers who use or are most likely to use the product or services offered.
The place does not mean only TV or radio but it can also be newspapers, blogs,
sponsorships, hoardings on roads, ads in the movie break in theatres, etc. The area
varies from place to place it can be on a national basis, or state basis, and for local
brands, it can be on a city basis.

When is the time to show or run an advertisement?

The ad should be delivered at the perfect time when most customers


are like to buy the product. The planners need to plan it keeping the budget in mind
as the maximum of 20% of revenues of the company can be used in the
advertisement section. Different products have different time lengths for
advertisements. Some products need year-long ads as they have nothing to do with
seasonal variations eg. small things like biscuits, soaps, pens, etc, and big services.

What type of media is to be used?

There are basically two media approaches to choose from.

Media Concentration Approach Media Dispersion Approach

In the media concentration approach, the number of categories of media is less. The
money is spent on concentrating on only a few media types say two or three. This
approach is generally used for those companies that are not very confident and have to
share the place with the other competitors.
In the media dispersion approach, there are more categories of media used to advertise.
They place their product ads in many categories like TV, radio, internet, distributing
pamphlets, sending messages to mobiles, etc.
