Rates, proportions, and percents are concepts that we encounter


all around us: miles per hour, price per pound, percentage discounts, and
commissions. In this chapter you will be tested on some extremely useful
skills that can be applied to your personal and work life. In addition to
being useful in your everyday life, mastery of the following skills that are
tested in this chapter will be critical to your success on the GED test:
