Coordinate Geometry

A system of geometry where the position of points

on the plane is described using an ordered pair P(x, y)

The distance of a point from y-axis The distance of a point from x-axis
is called x-coordinate or abscissa is called y-coordinate or ordinate

The coordinate of point on x-axis is (x, 0). The coordinate of point

on y-axis is (0, y). The coordinate of point on 2-Dimensional
plane i.e., cartesian plane is (x, y)
