SAMPLE
I want to talk about a special meal I had last year during the Lunar New Year holiday. It was at my grandparents’
house in the countryside, and every year we have a big meal there with the whole family. The meal was cooked by
my grandmother, and everyone helped with setting the table and getting the food ready.
The meal had a lot of tasty dishes, like Bánh Chưng (a rice cake with pork and mung beans), boiled chicken, and
pickled onions. My grandmother also made braised pork with eggs, stir-fried vegetables, and fruit like oranges.
The soup made with chicken and herbs was very tasty too. All the food was cooked with care, and it was perfect for
this special day.
This meal was special because it made us all feel close as a family. The food was delicious, and we all talked and
laughed together. It was enough to make me feel happy and connected with everyone. The atmosphere was so
warm, and it reminded me of the love in our family. I think it’s a memory that I will never forget.
