Assignment 2

Earth is the third planet from the Sun, unique for supporting life due to its diverse climate, abundant water, and protective atmosphere. Formed about 4.5 billion years ago, its surface has been shaped by volcanic activity, tectonic shifts, and asteroid impacts. The planet's dynamic geology and rich ecosystems make it distinct within the solar system.

Summary
1 Introduction 1

Unnumbered Section 1

2 Second Section 1

1 Introduction
This is the first section.
Earth is the third planet from the Sun and the only known celestial body
to support life. It has a diverse climate, abundant water, and a protective at-
mosphere. With its dynamic ecosystems and geological activity, Earth sustains
billions of species, making it unique in the solar system.

Unnumbered Section
Earth formed about 4.5 billion years ago from dust and gas surrounding the
young Sun. Over time, its molten surface cooled, forming solid land and oceans.
Volcanic activity, tectonic shifts, and asteroid impacts shaped its surface, while
the development of an atmosphere made it hospitable to life.

2 Second Section
Earth is a dynamic, rocky planet with a molten core, solid crust, and active
tectonic plates. Its atmosphere, primarily composed of nitrogen and oxygen,
protects life by regulating temperature and filtering radiation. Earth’s water-
rich surface and magnetic field sustain diverse ecosystems, enabling a thriving
biosphere unique in the solar system.
