The Profile of the Respondents
The profile of the respondents is in the category of age, gender, length in relationship and
strand, because the focus of the researchers study is the senior high school who are involved in romantic
relationships

Table 1 shows the current age of the respondents. First is 17-18 years old which has a frequency of 23
responses and is equivalent to 57.50%. It means that 17-18 years old believes more that every
relationship have an advantages and disadvantages. Second is 15-16 years old which has a frequency of
12 responses and is equivalent to 30.00%. It means that the respondents of the researchers are at the
age of 15-16 years old. Third is 19-20 years old which has a frequency of 3 responses and is equivalent to
10.00%. It means that 19-20 years old don't believe in the advantages of romantic relationship. Fourth is
others (please specify) which has a frequency of 1 response and is equivalent to 2.50%. It implies that
the respondents of the researchers don't want to reveal their age.

Table 2 shows the gender that the respondents involved in relationships. First is female to male which
has a frequency of 23 responses and is equivalent to 57.50%. It means that more female is involved in
the relationship. Second is male to female which has a frequency of 12 responses and is equivalent to
30.00%. It means that only 12 male respondents are involved in the relationship. Third is female to
female which has a frequency of 3 responses and is equivalent to 7.50%. It means that the only 3
females are involved in relationship between female to male.

Table 4 shows the duration or length in relationship of the respondents. First is other (please specify)
which has a frequency of 16 responses and is equivalent to 40.00%. It means that a most of the
respondents had different answers that didn't fit into the given choices. It implies that there's a lot of
variety in how long people's relationships last. Second is 6 months which has a frequency of 10
responses and is equivalent to 25.00%. It means that relationship of respondents tends to last around
this length of time. It implies that six months a common duration for relationships among the people
surveyed. Third is 2 years which has a frequency of 7 responses and is equivalent to 17.50%. It means
that some of the respondents tend to last around this length of time. It implies that some of the
respondent’s common duration for relationships is lasted in 2 years. Next is 1 year which has a frequency
of 6 responses and is equivalent to 15.00%. It means that 15.00% of the students surveyed said their
relationships lasted for one year. It implies that for some students, their relationships tend to last around
this length of time and one year is a common duration for their relationships. Therefore, it is important
to have some knowledge about the advantage and disadvantage of romantic relationship to have a long-
term and healthy relationship.

Table 5 shows advice of the parents to the respondents about love and relationship. First is listen on
what they say which has a frequency of 18 responses and is equivalent to 45.00%. It implies that most
the respondents is listed on the advice of their parents about love and relationship to guide them when
they are making decisions about their relationship. Second is accept and apply it on yourself which has a
frequency of 14 responses and is equivalent to 35.00%. It means that 35.00% of respondents believe
that they will benefit if they follow and apply it on their own relationship. Third is add it on your
knowledge and share it to others which has a frequency of 8 responses and is equivalent to 20.00%. It
implies that 20.00% of the students surveyed believe that adding the advice of the parents about love
and relationship in their knowledge will not only benefit them but could also be helpful to others when
they share it. Next is other (please specify) which has a frequency of O response and is equivalent to 0%.
It means that all the options provided by the researcher were applicable to the respondents. Therefore,
it is very important to ask advice to the parents about love and relationship to avoid the impact of the
disadvantage of romantic relationship.

Table 7 shows the ways to improve the advantages of romantic relationship. First is be matured and
understanding partner which has a frequency of 22 responses and is equivalent to 55.00%. it means that
the respondents are agree for being matured and understanding partner so they can have a healthy

their partner is not physically attractive, so they must improve their flaws and learn to love not physically

8 The disadvantages of romantic relationship

Table 8 shows the disadvantages of romantic relationship. First is it can be a distraction to their studies
which has a frequency of 15 responses and is equivalent to 37.50% . It means that it can be a distraction
to their studies because they are focusing on much of their relationship so they have to seek an advice
with their parents so that they can have a healthy relationship. Second is it can be the reason of
changing their behavior which has a frequency of 13 responses and is equivalent to 32.50% . It means
that it can be also the reason of changing their behavior because of too much obsession for their
partner. Therefore, it can be prevented by telling them the wrong doing of their relationship from their
parents and seek advice to have a healthy relationship. Third is it can be the reason of their stress which
has a frequency of 11 responses and is equivalent to 27.50% . It means that there are some of the
respondents think that it can be the reason of their stress because romantic relationship have ups and
downs. So they must go through that and learn from their ups and downs.

Table 9 shows the suggestions to students to prevent the disadvantage of romantic relationship. First is
tell them to maintain open and honest communication with their partner and respect each other's
boundaries which has a frequency of 27 responses and is equivalent to 67.50%. It implies that most of
the students surveyed believe that talking openly and honestly, and respecting each other’s personal
space are very important to avoid problems in romantic relationships. Therefore, being clear and
respectful in a relationship can help avoid the disadvantage of romantic relationship. Second is tell them
about the negative effects of romantic relationship which has a frequency of 10 responses and is
equivalent to 25.00%. It means that few of the students surveyed believe that knowing about the
possible problems and challenges in romantic relationships can help students handle the situation better
and lessen the negative impact of romantic relationship. Therefore, knowing about the negative effect of
romantic relationship can help students make good decisions about their relationships, which could stop
the bad situations from happening. Next is other (please specify) which has a frequency of 3 responses
and is equivalent to 7.50%. It implies that the 7.50% of the students surveyed have personal experiences
or thoughts that made them suggest different ways to avoid the disadvantage of romantic relationships
that they have different answers that's not included in the given choices.
