( Review Film Entitled Gifted Hands)

Orientation
Gifted Hands is a biographical drama film. it was released in 2009 and directed by
Thomas Carter. The film tells the true story of Dr Ben Carson, a famous neurosurgeon in the
United States. Based on his autobiography, the film follows Carson's life journey from his
difficult childhood to becoming one of the most respected surgeons in the world.
Interpretative recount
The story begins in Detroit, where Ben Carson grew up in a poor family with low academic
performance. His mother, Sonya Carson, was a strong woman. She always supported Ben and
his brother to always try hard and not give up even though their lives were full of challenges.
With his strong spirit and support from his mother, Ben began to show his interest in learning,
especially in the sciences.
As an adult, Carson successfully entered the world of medicine and he began a career in
neurosurgery. One of his famous achievements was when he successfully performed an
operation to separate conjoined twins connected at the head. This surgery scene is one of the
most intense and emotional moments in the film, which shows Carson's talent and courage in
handling difficult and dangerous cases.
Evaluation
The film Gifted Hands not only shows Carson's success story as a doctor, but also
provides a message about the importance of dedication, faith and family support. This film
inspired many people to achieve their dreams despite seemingly impossible odds. Apart from
that, this film also shows cool action. One of the coolest actions in our opinion is when Dr.
Ben performs surgery to separate conjoined twins connected at the head. From this action, we
can see how cool Dr. Ben. However, this film has several shortcomings such as poor video
quality and unclear plot.
Evaluation summation
Overall, Gifted Hands is a moving and motivational film for anyone who watches it.
Cuba Gooding Jr.'s acting also gives life to Ben Carson's character, showing the complex
emotional and mental journey of someone who struggled from the bottom to achieve great
success in the field of medicine. This film is very suitable for teenagers like us who need a lot
of motivation to achieve success. We give a rating 8/10 for the story, and a rating 6.5/10 for
the quality of the video in this film.
