A. DEVELOPMENTA
L ACTIVITES
a. Motivation
(Explore)
Okay since you fully understand our
previous lesson lets move to our new
lesson/topic

(Time frame: 5 Mins) Before we

proceed to our lesson this morning, we
will have first an activity. It’s called “
Magalang’s Phone”As you can see I
have here a big phone.

Direction: First, look at under your

armchair. Then, get what I have pasted
down there. Reminder: Only 5
armchairs have the pasted square
shape construction paper and the rest
has none.
Okay, so at the count of three
everybody will look under the armchair
(Pupils will look under their
Ready 1,2,3 . armchairs.)

To those who got the square shape

construction paper. I want you to paste
it in our big phone.
Please come here in front and paste it
on our big phone. (5 Pupils will go in front)

These are the icons we

What are these pictures? sometimes see in
cellphone and computer

This has something to do with our

lesson for today
Today, we will discuss the different
Visual and Multimedia Elements.

b. Presentation of the Lesson

(Explain) (The teacher will tell a same story using

big book as an instructional material
and a bare and a plain story for this
presentation
Then after that using a Venn Diagram
we will compare contrast them)

Okay so are you ready class Yes we are ready.

The wind and the sun argue about

which one is stronger. The wind says it
can blow down trees, make hurricanes,
and push ships across the ocean. The
sun says it can melt snow, dry up lakes,
and heat up the ground so much that it
could cook an egg. They see a man
walking in a winter jacket, and decide to
have a contest. Whoever can make the
man take off his jacket first wins.
The wind goes first. It blows hard
at the man, but the man just shivers
and zips up his jacket. The wind tries
harder, making it snow and blow even
stronger, but the man only pulls his
hood up and zips his jacket even
higher. The wind gives up. Now it’s the
sun’s turn. The sun shines gently,
melting the snow and warming the air.
The man starts to feel warm, so he
unzips his jacket. As the sun gets
warmer, the man begins to sweat, and
eventually, he takes off his jacket
completely. "I win!" says the sun,
happy.

Moral: Sometimes being gentle and

warm can be more effective than being
strong and forceful.

Now, lets compare and contrast the

story
Okay so which of these two Ma’am the second
presentations of the story is a better presentation.
one?

Yes, very good the second one

because the second one uses the
different visual elements.

And that is our lesson for today. The

different Visual and Multimedia
Elements.

c. Discussion

Examples of visuals Elements:

Photos: They can show real-life

events, people, and places (e.g., a
photo in a news article helps readers
understand what happened).
Illustrations/Drawings: Often used in
books, websites, or presentations to
explain things in a fun and creative
way.
Charts/Graphs: These help to explain
complex data by presenting it in a
visual, easy-to-understand format (e.g.,
pie charts showing favorite ice cream
flavors).
Icons: Simple, small visuals that
represent ideas or actions (e.g., a
pencil icon represents writing or
drawing).
Animations: Used in videos, games, or
websites to show movement and tell a
story (e.g., animated characters
explaining a lesson).

What Are Multimedia Elements?

Definition:
Multimedia elements are different
types of content used together to tell a
story or share information in a more
engaging and clear way. These
elements can include:
Text: Written words or sentences that
provides explanations or tells a story.
Visuals: Images, drawings, charts, and
graphs that support the message and
make it easier to understand.
Audio: Sound elements like music,
sound effects, and voiceovers that add
emotion or context.
Video: Moving images that combine
visuals and audio to tell a story or
explain something.
Animation: Moving visuals that are
created through sequences of images
or drawings.

Can you think of any places where I think we can see that
you see all these elements used elements in Movie show
together?" and tv commercial

What Role Do Visuals Play in Visuals, like pictures and

Multimedia? videos, help make things
clearer and more exciting.
They help explain ideas,
show emotions, keep us
interested, and tell stories
in a fun way!

Visuals are one of the most powerful

tools in multimedia because humans
process images faster than text. Visuals
help make messages clearer, more
interesting, and easier to remember.

Examples of visuals in multimedia:

Photos: They can show real-life

events, people, and places (e.g., a
photo in a news article helps readers
understand what happened).
Illustrations/Drawings: Often used in
books, websites, or presentations to
explain things in a fun and creative
way.
Charts/Graphs: These help to explain
complex data by presenting it in a
visual, easy-to-understand format (e.g.,
pie charts showing favorite ice cream
flavors).
Icons: Simple, small visuals that
represent ideas or actions (e.g., a
pencil icon represents writing or
drawing).
Animations: Used in videos, games, or
websites to show movement and tell a
story (e.g., animated characters
explaining a lesson).

"Why do you think visuals help us I think visuals help us

understand things better than just understand things better
words alone?" because they show us
what something looks like.
If someone tells me about
a dog, I might not know
what it looks like, but if I
see a picture, I can
understand it right away!
Pictures and videos make
things easier and more fun
to understand
