1.0 Aims/Benefits of the Micro-Project.
The micro-project aims to raise awareness about the impacts of natural disasters and
manmade hazards, promoting community resilience and preparedness. By analyzing
case studies, it fosters critical thinking and research skills while highlighting the
importance of sustainable practices and informed decision-making for a safer
environment.

e. Manage social issues and Environmental Ethics as lifelong learning
3.0 Proposed Methodology
The micro-project will be conducted in several structured phases:
1. Literature Review: Begin by researching existing literature on natural disasters and
manmade hazards. This will include academic articles, books, and credible online
resources to gather foundational knowledge and relevant case studies.
2. Case Study Selection: Identify specific case studies representing both natural disasters
(e.g., earthquakes, floods) and manmade hazards (e.g., industrial accidents, pollution
incidents). Each case will be analyzed for its socio-economic and environmental
impacts.
3. Data Collection: Gather quantitative and qualitative data from various sources,
including government reports, NGO publications, and news articles. This may also
involve surveys or interviews with local experts to gain insights into community
perspectives on disaster preparedness.
4. Analysis: Analyze the collected data to assess the impacts of the selected disasters.
This will involve comparing and contrasting their effects on communities, economies,
and ecosystems.
