PREFACE
M.B.A program is one of the most reputed professional course in the field of
Management. This course includes both theory and its application contents of
curriculum. Project report is an integral part of the MBA at “Dr. A. P. J Abdul
kalaam Technical University Lacknow”.
Each student is required to prepare mini project - 1 in his/her 1 st semester. This
program Intends to get familiarity with practical aspects of management through
this project . The importance of any academic course would give advantage and
acceptance of The true from only through practical experience. The topic assigned
for the mini project 1 is the mini portable washing machine I tried to know the
problem with the help of multy whys and customer journey mapping . In this
project Each part has its own importance and find out the problem and solution. In
this project two parts include in the first part I analyze and empathize Of the
problem and in the second part I tried to test and solve the problem with the help of
Buddha four steps DT approach to deal with the suffering.
FIRST PART:--
In this part I search for problem identification and how can I perform the job to be
done. After the analyses the system in the system analysis the subsystem and super
system of the system after that make an interaction matrix. With the help of
interaction matrix make a pictorial representation and lastly I do in the first part is
the deep dive of the product.
SECOND PART:--
In this part I search for how might we can solve the problem, for solving the
problem use the convergent thinking and divergent thinking with the help of this I
make an idea ranking chart. On the basis of idea ranking chart analysis the
association identification and assumptions mapper. After that make an interaction
matrix and with the help of matrix prepare a pictorial representation. After that
emphasize and solve the problem with customer journey mapping and conflict of
interest.
The last part is the conclusion part.

FIRST PART
PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION:--
There is an electronic company which makes washing machines and has found that every
person is not satisfied and company not get his targeted achievement.
The company went into finding out the problem with customer journey mapping or multi
whys with why the user are not satisfied with the product and what changes user wanted
in the product.
With the help of multi whys and customer journey mapping company find out what the
user really want to change in the product and what problems user faced with the product.
The problem was that every user want to save time and money and he/she can not afford
a washing machine and if he/she afford it then they can not take it every place and can
not move with this washing machine.
JOB TO BE DONE:--
The company found that user want an equipment that keep his/her clothes clean and
easily moveable and cover less area.
SYSTEM ANALYSIS:--
(*System is what you need to improve, analyze the system, break the system into smaller
parts, Subsystem-Which the system is made up of, Super system-Which the system
interacts with).
Subsystem:- Drum, Water pump, Agitator or paddle, motor, drain pipe, heating element,
timer.
Super system:- switch board, clothes , electricity, water, bathroom, user.

Pictorial Representation:-
Deep Dive :--
Need for a portable Mini or covering less space and save electricity bills. Cause of this--
A working person travel cause of his transfer so he or she face the problem with the laundry.
sometimes he go for the meeting out of city and he faces problem with the dirty clothes.
If he carry only two or three clothes for three days and by any accident he or she ruined his/her
clothes then they have no any option to clean up.
They take so much time to find out a good laundry who clean there clothes very carefully and
charge less amounts.
Carrying a washing machine at every place is very difficult to do.
If you are a new mother then you have more clothes of baby to clean and you can’t go for the
laundry for the baby clothes.
SECOND PART
How might we can solve the problem:--
The challenge is to make an equipment that we can travel with and come in less space and also
keep our clothes clean and the electricity bill also comes down.
Converged Thinking:-
Divergent Thinking:--
Facing the problem with the time of
transfer or the time of new born baby
1. Substitute- laundry
2. Combined-- washing machine in bucket with rod.
3. .Adapt— bucket with agitator and electric connection
4. Modify-- mini or portable machine
5. Eliminate—
6. Reverse—

The Company Goes with Idea 2, i.e., mini or foldable bucket, because user
desirability(empathizing) and Economic Viability Score is more for Idea 2 as compared to other
ideas. Though it will be costlier design but the idea really empathizes with the user urgent need
of an appliance which is easy to carry in the bag, and easy to use, and suitable for cleaning
clothes .
Most of the students stay away from home and they face more problem to clean the clothes.
Most of the person are employed in the company and for any project they stay out of the city so
they can clean their clothes easily where there is no any laundry in the area.
Most of the time working women face the problem to keep clean there newborn baby clothes so
with the help of this they easily clean the clothes without any heavy sound.
Hypothesize -Assumption Identification
Mini or foldable washing machine will fulfil the need of cleaning the clothes and save
time, space, or electricity bill.
By the time you finish dinner, the clothes are washed and that too without making any
noise.
If mother and newborn baby is sleeping and father try to help in keep the clothes
cleaning, So he can wash clothes easily and that too without disturbing both of them.
Due to importance of time and workload office users need clean clothes in every meeting
and every day.
Assumption Mapper-
The Hypothesis is important and need to be tested immediately and not difficult to test as we can
get office users , students or mothers.

Designing the experiment:--
The experiment will be done on Office goers who travel to their office by taking the
sample from different sectors.
The easiest way will be to demonstrate the picture or working model made as
portable washing machine while they are in hostel, work place or during travel.
Point to be noted will be how they handle the washing machine during travelling ,
how they put the charger in the charging point, how much comfortable they are in
using it, whether it is reducing the problem which they face while using a heavy
washing machine . Whether they feel their need is being satisfied.
Based on the parameter’s positive responses will be considered for making the
prototype for further acceptance by the company.
