Cetamine® G811
Surface-Active Corrosion Inhibitor for Steam Generators and
Boiler Systems
Product description
Cetamine® G811 is an all-in-one corrosion inhibitor based on a BOILER SYSTEMS
blend of a surface active Cetamine® Filming Amine (CFA) and
alkalizing amines. Cetamine® G811 prevents corrosion in steam
generators and boiler systems by formation of a protective
Cetamine® film on metal surfaces and adjusting the pH-value to
the optimal range. The pH adjustment in liquid and steam phase
is realized by the specific ratio of low volatile and high volatile
alkalizing amines.
Cetamine® G811 passivates metallic surfaces and provides
exceptional protection throughout the whole water/steam cycle of
both all-ferrous and mixed metallurgy systems.
Application
All components of Cetamine® G811 are volatile and therefore can
be applied in accordance with the All Volatile Treatment (AVT)

Dosage
The dose rate of Cetamine® G811 is system specific and needs PRODUCT COMPLIANCE
to be defined together with a Kurita representative. Generally the
dose rate refers to total make-up water and has to be adjusted
until a pH value of 8.8 to 9.5 has established in steam and IAPWS TGD8-16 (Application in
condensate while the maximum concentration of CFA must be Power Plants)

treatment parameter is the pH value.
For information regarding product safety please
• Demineralized make-up: 15 – 50 g/m³ refer to Kurita Safety Data Sheet
• Softened make-up: 50 – 120 g/m³
Depending on the system design it is recommended to dose

During routine plant inspections the presence of the protective
Cetamine® film on accessible system surfaces can be
demonstrated with the Kurita Cetamine® Wipe Test.
