7.1 Introduction
The last paragraphs of chapters 5 and 6 discuss some options of the
processing software. When the Video image processing option is
installed, the processing software contains many more advanced
options, like:
Contrast and brightness enhancements.
Image filtering, like edge detection.
Image manipulation, like rotate and mirror images.
Color manipulation, like image negative.
Image export to several DTP formats.
Measurements of distances and angles in images.
The video image processing software is completely integrated with the
analysis software. This chapter discusses all the options of the video
image processing software.
The status bar shows the sequence number and size of the image, and

set of measurements which should be repeated for multiple tests (or
The measurement sub-menu provides different options to perform loops). You have to define only once what you want to measure and

In this dialog window you can edit the selected video measurement
protocol. Each protocol consists of a protocol name and a number of
measurement definitions.
Protocol name
Enter a name for the protocol in this field. It is recommended to use

protocol. This name will be used in the protocol sub-menus but also will
appear on top of the measurement results reports.

measurements and leave the measurement mode. You can measure any distance or angle you want. Further you can
place reference markers anywhere in the video image.
On the speed bar you will see some buttons. Each button represents a
measurement type. When a measurement button is clicked it will stay
down until it is clicked again or one of the other measurement buttons
is clicked. When a measurement button is down, you can perform the
corresponding measurement in the video image. When none of the
buttons is down you can move measurement points.
Measure | Marker
When the marker mode is active, everywhere you click in the image a
marker is placed. Depending on the naming mode, either the software
generates a name or you have to enter a name for each marker you
place. Markers can be used to mark interesting points in the image.
