Course Description:

Science, Technology, and Society (STS) explores the interplay between scientific and technological advancements and their impact on society. This course
examines historical developments, ethical considerations, and the role of science and technology in shaping culture, politics, and the economy. Emphasizing a
multidisciplinary approach, students will analyze case studies, emerging technologies, and global challenges such as climate change, artificial intelligence, and
biotechnology. By the end of the course, students will develop a critical understanding of how science and technology influence human progress and societal
change.

This course provides training in different movement patterns and core engagement in conjunction with principles of healthy eating and a
physical active life. Students will be able to adapt and transfer the movement competency indifferent context.

CLASSROOM POLICIES
Academic Honesty
Academic integrity is essential in developing ethical entrepreneurial leaders. All students are expected to:
 Submit original work for assignments, case studies, and projects.
 Properly cite sources when using external references.
 Avoid plagiarism, cheating, or unauthorized collaboration during assessments.
 Uphold honesty in examinations, quizzes, and presentations.
Violations of academic honesty, such as plagiarism or cheating, will result in:
1. First offense – Written warning and reduced grade on the assignment.
2. Second offense – Automatic failing grade on the assessment.
3. Third offense – Referral to the academic disciplinary committee for possible sanctions.
Policy on Absences
 Maximum Allowable Absences: Students are allowed up to 20% of total class hours for absences (excused or unexcused).
 Excused Absences: Valid reasons (medical emergencies, official school activities, family emergencies) must be supported with proper documentation.
 Unexcused Absences: Failure to attend class without notice may result in grade deductions or disqualification from major assessments.
 Make-up Work: Students with excused absences must coordinate with the instructor within one week to complete missed work.
