Nth Term of Arithmetic
Sequence
Formula:
𝒂𝒏 = 𝒂𝟏 + 𝒏 − 𝟏 𝒅
Wherein:
𝑎𝑛 = nth term
𝑎1 = first term
n = number of terms
d = common difference
Examples:
1. Find the 60th term of the sequence:
7, 5, 3, 1, …
2. Find the 12th term of the sequence:
3, 5, 7, 9, …
3. Find the 7th term of an arithmetic
sequence if the 3rd term is 5 and the
5th term is 11.
4. Find the 25th term of an

sequence.
Arithmetic Means
✓terms that are between two
given terms.
Example:
1. In 5, 8, 11, 14, 17, what are
the arithmetic means?
2. Insert three arithmetic
means between 17 and 1.
3.Check if 9 is the
