Introduction
The data analysis of airfare provides valuable insights on traveling trends, cost control and in improving
customer satisfaction. When it comes to this particular project, our focus will be laid on the analysis of
flight data such as fare, flight time and duration. This means that through machine learning models the
company can forecast the customer needs and preferences as well as schedule the most efficient
manner.
Objectives
Compare the price of airfare and flights to discover the pattern of the price.
Utilize data in an effort in order to manage flights’ timetables and reduce the number of flight
delays.
Use artificial intelligence to determine the clients’ needs and make the appropriate changes to
the services being offered.
Problem Statement
Knowledge in this area can benefit the airlines and their customers in increasing the overall
efficiency and customer satisfaction.
One of the things that need to be done is to ensure that flight schedules and routes are well
planned to allow for minimum time and money spent.
Sales forecast may enable airlines to develop better services to cater for customer needs since
the customers’ demands can be forecasted by data analysis.
Data Overview
In flight details, the dataset has factors such as airfare, travel dates, time of departure and arrival, flight
duration, Transit, Airport codes, and airline quality. The polls were taken on eight different airlines that
included Air New Zealand as well as Jetstar with emphasis on flights that operate within New Zealand.
Data Analysis and Modeling
There are several techniques in data analysis and through these approaches we can be able to extract
the trends prevalent in the airfare data. For instance:
Airfare Patterns: Identification of the fluctuations in the prices of flight tickets and try to determine the
seasons for every airline and every date.
Flight Durations: Investigation of the effect of flight lengths on ticket prices.
Transit and Delays: Assessment of stop characteristics that affect transit users’ timing and their
patronage decisions.

Conclusion
Thus, analyzing the patterns of airfare changes relating to travel date and airline involved shows the
following. The use of models for predicting the flight schedule provides insight into ways airlines could
make adjustments towards creating better schedules that are cost effective as well as improving on the
quality of experiences offered to clients.
