Read the text about electronic devices. Choose the best answer.

Are electronic devices good or bad for teenagers?

Electronic devices are becoming more and more popular with teenagers nowadays. Is this trend
beneficial or harmful to teenagers?

On the bright side, electronic devices are good tools for teenagers. Firstly, teenagers can use
them for educational purposes. For example, many educational smartphone apps can help
teenagers improve their English skills. Secondly, electronic devices offer many ways to relax.
After a long day at school, teenagers can sit down and enjoy their favourite films or listen to
music on their phones.

However, lack of physical activities, the weakening of eyesight and sleep disorders are often the
negative sides of spending too much time on electronic devices. Instead of playing outdoors or
sports, many teenagers sit in front of the screen for hours, making them more passive. Many
teenagers nowadays are wearing glasses as a result of the uncontrolled use of such devices.
Moreover, using electronic devices can disturb a regular sleep pattern as teenagers are too
involved in such gadgets without remembering to sleep on time.

aware of the amount of time sitting in front of the screen.

Read the text about the problem of arguing between teenagers and parents. Choose the best
option (A, B, C or D).

Teenagers and their parents do not always share the same opinions because they come from
different generations and have different lifestyles. When teens and parents discuss something
and cannot agree with the others point of view, they argue. They can argue about anything,
from schoolwork to the teen’s social lives.

Teenagers, for example, often struggle to live without their smartphones, while their parents
believe they spend too much time on them.

Teenagers often think their parents have too much control over them, and parents can't
understand why their children no longer want to communicate with them. This problem can
make both teens and their parents unhappy. However, this does not mean that arguing with
parents is always wrong. As a teenager, if you need to discuss something with your parents, do
so calmly. Remember to pay attention to what your parents say. As for parents, they should
respect their children's opinions and look at their problems from different aspects before giving
advice. Families should also engage in some leisure activities, such as going on a picnic or
watching a movie. This will bring family members closer together.

33. What is the main problem leading to less communication between parents and children?
A. Teens become addicted to smartphone.
B. Parents and children don’t have the same points of view about many things.
C. Parents take control of teens.
