MOST USEFUL STRATEGY LEARNED
The most useful strategy I learned during this course was effective time management. I
realized the importance of creating a structured study schedule, prioritizing tasks, and
breaking down larger assignments into manageable chunks. I plan to apply this strategy in my
future studies at UoPeople by implementing a weekly study plan and setting aside dedicated
time for reading, assignments, and revision. Currently, I have registered for one and am to
register for another by the 5th of April. With the time management skills I have learned, I
would be able to arrange my time between the two courses that I am to start next month
which might be daunting, but the good thing is I have my Time management skills to back it
up. By staying organized and disciplined, I aim to optimize my productivity and achieve
academic success.
MOST SURPRISING THING LEARNED
The most surprising thing I learned this term was the concept of collaborative learning and
the effectiveness of peer feedback in improving academic performance. Initially, I was
sceptical about the value of peer assessment and doubted its impact on my learning
experience. However, as the term progressed, I was pleasantly surprised by the insightful
feedback I received from my peers and the constructive criticism that helped me refine my
work. This realization challenged my preconceived notions and highlighted the benefits of
collaborative learning environments. In accordance with collaborative learning, the other
thing that got my attention and intrigued me to find out was the fact that there is no student
competition in the entire program. Things like getting the grades published so that all
students can see the grades of others can foster or urge every student to top his/her class. That
way the productivity of every batch going through every program will be surprisingly high.
EVOLUTION OF MY FEELINGS TOWARDS PEER ASSESSMENT
At the beginning of the term, I was apprehensive about peer assessment and unsure about its
validity and reliability as an evaluation method. I mean I thought my work was to be
evaluated by only my instructor. However, as I actively engaged in peer assessment activities
throughout the term, my feelings towards it gradually changed. I became more comfortable
with the process and recognized its value in providing diverse perspectives and fostering a
sense of community among learners. Assessing my peers' work allowed me to gain a deeper
understanding of course concepts and develop critical evaluation skills. Overall, I have grown
to appreciate the role of peer assessment in promoting collaborative learning and enhancing
academic performance.
