CLASS PRESENTATION – GRADE 12 MANAGEMENT – APRIL 2025

TITLE : SAMVEDANA (EMPATHY)

SCENE I

Introduction of the Student – Swadesh – a happy going child

Swadesh (Entering the room returning from the school) – Mama, I am back and hungry and need
snacks, immediately please (he tries to do a prank on his mom)

Mom (entering from the kitchen to living room) Swady, too aagaya – ye lo – your favourite pasta
(she acts as if she got terrified because of his prank and tells him) – you will never change –
but still I love your small acts my little child – I love your silly pranks but you should know
what to do in different times

(Narrator – elders should be empathetic towards children and accept them to grow properly – Empathy starts from
family – empathy starts from home)

(they laugh with each other and leave the place)

SCENE 2

Swadesh enters Class:

Freind 1 Hey Swady, how many marks did you get in the recent tests – 75% out of 100 – pulka
fellow, always useless marks – when would you improve boy

Friend 2 He would never – don’t know how he got admission here – average marks, average fellow –
I wonder how such people exist

Swadesh May be I scored less than you – but I am better at arts, sports, culture and treating others – I
know how to behave in a given situation – not like you

Friend 3 How dare you back answer us this way? You think you are born great – dumb fellow – you
don’t even know how to score good in cycle test – let us make you understand the cost of
being a so called all-rounder...

(All three students beat him up – Teacher enters just when Swadesh starts to fights back)

Teacher What is happening here? Swadesh why are you beating them? How can behave like that in
the school?

Freind 1 Look at him mam, he started boasting about his wins in the recent dance competition and
mocking at us that we are waste and are of no use – when we questioned he started to beat
us.

Swadesh No mam, they are lying – its them who started this – not me

Teacher Shut up, I know you – you should have started this – you neither score marks, you don’t
have culture – you don’t have interest in studies and you have the audacity to fight the
toppers of the class. Get away from here.

Swadesh But Mam, you should at least listen to me

Teacher Ah, I know I know – you need not tell me – get lost from here (friends laugh at Swady and
Swadesh leaves the face in sad and angry manner)

(Narrator – lack of empathy of others made Swadesh more thoughtful and learn to more empathetic)

Scene 3
CLASS PRESENTATION – GRADE 12 MANAGEMENT – APRIL 2025

Swadesh in college

Swadesh Hey Ram, how have you been?

Ram Not so good – Swady – I scored low in the last semester, I am worried what would the
professor say about this. Also, I have a problem with the owner of my stay.

Swadesh OK – let us take it one by one – personal issues spoil focus on academics – first things first –
what is the issue with your PG owner.

Ram I could not pay rent for the last three months – there is a little cash crunch in my family –
dad’s business has liquidity issues – we could not recover money from our clients – and you
know the cost of PG it is around 30k per month – The owner took away my laptop – I am
under serious pressure – I could not focus during exams and am unable to score – I am
afraid of Benarjee Sir and Mangesh Sir

Swadesh Nothing would happen, let us solve them the issues one by one – first we will go to your PG
owner.

SCENE 3A

(Both reach PG owner)

Owner You beggar, you came again – you brought a new one this time, you are not able to pay the
dues, and you are bringing a new character – what a shame

Swadesh Sir, please don’t talk like this – please empathise with him, he is under serious trouble

Owner Bada aaya, Bhashan Babu – ye paisa ka mamla hai – if he does not pay, how will I run this
business? – who will bear the loss? – too ya tera baap

Swadesh Sir, talk properly – we are students, yes – it is unfortunate for us not to pay – it is not that he
is poor and cannot pay – their family is facing certain issues – for that sake, you cannot talk
like this – he is with you for the last 3 years – has he ever defaulted the payments? Have
some empathy sir. Anyway, you took his laptop and he paid advance of Rs.2 Lakhs to you –
you can reduce from that advance.

Owner What is that word? Empathy – there is no empathy, allopathy or homeopathy – you better
pay or leave the place immediately – since he is a cash cow I have been bearing him – else, I
should have thrown him out long back. Why are you talking about the advance amount? I
will have different investments with that. Don’t talk about it now.

Swadesh For people like you – life is only money and bullying others – you are blind with greed and
ego – you have no emotions – people like you would never understand the situation of
others. Take this money, settle your account and give us the advance amount right now.

Ram Swady, but how would you manage your expenses?

Swadesh No issues,if we don’t help each other who else will – we will see that later

(Owner hands over advance money to Ram and as these two are about to leave, meanwhile his wife gets a phone
call)

Wife of the owner (Yells) Oh my God – hey Bhagawan – (she faints)

Owner (Rushes to her) – what happened Pappu ka mummy? (picks the phone) what? When? How?
Where is he now? Which hospital? – hey bhagwan? (Holds his head starts crying)
CLASS PRESENTATION – GRADE 12 MANAGEMENT – APRIL 2025

Ram Sir, what happened?

Owner My son, Pappu – met with an accident and is admitted in hospital – we have to pay 4 lakhs
immediately – I don’t have so much liquid cash now. I have no clue what to do?

Swadesh Ram, is it ok if we give this money to him, if you have no objection

Ram Sure, Swady, I know that pain of suffering from lack of resources during the needy times.

(Ram hands over the money to the owner)

Owner (Takes the money) Thank you boys, you not only have saved my son’s life but have taught
me a great lesson to understand others’ pain. Oh Pappu ki mummy, get up take that 50k
from the cupboard and lets rush to the hospital. Ask your brother to bring the balance
amount.

Scene 3b

(Both reach professor)

Swadesh Sir, Ram wants to talk to you

Professor then let him talk, why do you start the conversation?

Swadesh He is a little afraid Sir – so, I wanted to shoulder him

Professor Oh, that’s good– only people with understanding about life, can show that quality, good –
Yes Ram, what is your problem

Ram Sir, I had a tough time during exams at my home – hence could not focus on preparation and
score well – next time I will do well.

Professor Hmm, but these marks cannot help you – since, your career is important for me, I don’t want
to give you low grades – instead of penalising you, I will give an opportunity – are you
ready to walk an extra mile?

Ram (excitingly) Yes Sir

Professor Just complete these two research papers and submit within a week – so that I can use this to
your profile before finalising the grades

Swadesh Sir, but how can Ram complete it with his existing load and personal problems

Ram No Swady, please wait – Sir – I thank you for the opportunity – this is blessing in disguise
for me – I would work 24 hours and complete this. Thank you Sir, for understanding and not
punishing me, but giving me an opportunity to improve myself.

Professor That is how we can become better teachers Ram – every teacher should understand the
problems of the students before they decide to charge them orally or academically.

Swadesh Yes Sir – even we students should know our limits before we do something – as it is said,
when we do something, we should get ready for its repercussions. But you were very
empathetic – you helped Ram, by understanding his situation and gave him another
opportunity.

Professor That’s why we are teachers Swady – all the best to both of you.

Scene 4

(Narrator Swadesh completes his education and becomes the CEO of a company.)

Swadesh (addressing his colleagues) Let us all welcome our new member of the team, Ms.Tara.

Bakbak Singh Sir, where from did you hire girl? She seems to be from a rural area and very normal. I don’t
see anything special in her.

Swadesh Mr.Babu Singh, seems you started your work– it is her work that speaks not her appearance.
Now you train her and ensure that she is into the job within a week.

Bakbak Singh (In a sarcastic manner) –Welcome mam – your highness – please know your job formalities

(Tara follows Bakbak Singh)

Bakbak Singh (in a mocking manner) Tara jee, this your work-station, you can command us from here –
we are at your service and servants just away from a phone call. Thank you

Tara Sir, why are you talking to me like this – I want to learn from you since you are a senior
manager here.

(Mahima Enters)

Mahima Sir, why are you troubling her on day one itself – you will never change. She is new here
and we all should support her.

Bakbak Singh Oh-ho – who is giving all these pearls of words – our Radio Rani, who transmits every news
across the departments – welcome Radio Rani, welcome – as per your words can I trouble
her from day 2. Is that right?

Mahima At least I listen to different people and ask others to help them, if I cannot – not like you –
always finding faults of others and commenting on them – and taking juice of their brain
with your non-sense talk – that’s why they call you Bakbak Singh. (turns to Tara) come
Tara, let us go.

Babu Singh stares at them

(both of them leave) (Swadesh enters)

Swadesh I request everyone to assemble here immediately.

(All of them gather)

Swadesh Who has made this payment of 10 Crores to Motilal & Co – the payment is only 10 lakhs to
be made. We all know that Motilal is a tricky fellow and it is very tough to recover the
balance 9.9 crores of money. The one who made the payment should recover it immediately
or pay from his pocket.

Mahima Sir, it is done by our Bakbak Sir sorry – Babu Singh Sir – oh my God – already he had a
serious issue with him last month – he made Motilal suffer a lot last month for a transaction
– Bakbak Bhaiya – Aaj too gaya

One Staff member Hello Bakbak Singh – Chalo – Khatam – Tata – Bye Bye – Goodbye

Bakbak Singh Satsriyakal! What to do I do now? I am ruined – Oh My God

(Serious situation and everyone discussing seriously)

CLASS PRESENTATION – GRADE 12 MANAGEMENT – APRIL 2025

Tara Sir, I can propose a solution, if you permit

Bakbak singh You and your gaon vala knowlege – these are beyond your level – just stay quiet

Swadesh Stop it Mr.Babu Singh – we should give her a chance, Tata please go ahead

Tara Thank you sir – as per the discussion I understand that Motilal is very keen on making
money – so we will give him an order of 15 crores and will tell that the extra money paid is
advance for the same.

(everyone claps)

Swadesh That’s a brilliant idea – Mahima – just initiate this process – I shall talk to Motilal about the
order – Mr.Babu Singh, you claim that you were a university topper, what happened now –
it is not your intellect that always wins, it is your wisdom, culture and character that makes
your life and others life comfortable. You are senior manager, but you behave like a
different one – learn to support and not to putdown and question people. Be empathetic with
people and support them. No point that you highlight their mistakes and satisfy your ego –
you are not paid for it – you are paid to support people and system, take responsibility for
your position. Now, please go and assist Mahima for the process.

Bakbak Singh Sure Sir – Sorry Tara, you changed my mindset – I apologise to every one for my earlier
behaviour.

Tara Sir, we all do err – it is okay to do a mistake – but it is not ok trouble others for their
mistakes. We all are the same humans Sir.

Swadesh That’s great Tara – now I can confidently claim that my office is the best loaded with the
best people.

*** THE END ***

At the end All Grade 12 Management would come to the centre of the stage

“It is our nivedana to Swamiji, Didi, Ganesh Sir, Teahers, RHPs and RHPs to accept our apologies and
forgive us for our mistakes. We promise you that we would behave properly and give our best in academics
and all the other activities. Please accept our apologies Thank you.
