Greenhouse Monitoring and Control System using IoT
Abstract:
This paper presents an IoT-based automated greenhouse management system using sensors
like YL69 for soil moisture, DHT11 for temperature and humidity, and NPK sensors for soil
nutrient monitoring. The system automates irrigation, cooling, and ventilation based on
real-time sensor data, with all information stored on the cloud (ThingSpeak) and accessible
via a web interface for remote monitoring. By optimizing environmental conditions,
including temperature, humidity, moisture, and nutrient levels, the system enhances plant
growth and yields, improving efficiency and productivity in greenhouse farming.
OBJECTIVES:
1. Automated Greenhouse Management
To automate the monitoring and control of temperature, humidity, and soil moisture using IoT
and sensors for optimal plant growth.
2. Remote Monitoring and Control
To enable real-time monitoring and management of greenhouse conditions through a cloud
platform and webpage interface.
3. Efficient Resource Utilization
To optimize the use of water, energy, and other resources by automating irrigation, ventilation,
and cooling systems.
4. Enhanced Productivity and Yield
To create ideal environmental conditions for plants, ensuring improved growth, higher yield, and
reduced manual labor.
