Subject: What is a holiday without homework!!!???
English Summer holidays are approaching and holidays are considered incomplete
without homework. So, we have planned some fun filled activities this
summer. Enjoy your holidays along with the interesting activities coming your
way.

to follow: • Design your own scrapbook using whatever material is available at
home.
• Write your name and paste your picture on the cover.
• Do your English homework in it.

Activity: 1 (Reading Skill)

Today a Reader, tomorrow a Leader


Reading is one of the best summertime activities. Spending an hour every day helps to
improve reading skills, helps to gain knowledge and increase vocabulary, etc. Engage
yourself in reading any story book or novel of your own choice or read any one of the
following suggested book:
The Pied Piper by Robert Browning
Or
The Little Trolls by Tor Age Bringsvaerd
• Read the book over the period of your vacation and complete the following writing tasks:
• Underline the difficult words and check their meanings in the dictionary.
• Write a book report on the story including:
Title and Author, Main Characters, Summary of the Story
• Write 10 interesting words from the book. Mention their meanings and make their
sentences.

Activity: 2 (Speaking and Listening Skills)


• Download an app Khan Academy Kids.
(The app includes audio narration, instructions, and interactive elements that help children
practice listening, speaking and comprehension skills, as well as opportunities to record their
own voice and engage in spoken language activities.)
• Read aloud one story from Oxford Reading Circle daily to enhance fluency and
pronunciation.

Mastering English opens countless doors to endless opportunities.

Activity: 3 (Writing Skill)


Neat and clear writing is essential for effective communication and conveying ideas with clarity
and precision. Students must purchase any book of Writing practice (Nelson Handwriting) or
use 4-lined notebook/loose sheets and practise one page daily to improve their writing skills.

Activity: 4 (Learning)
Learn the spellings of the words given on page no. 155 and 156 of Oxford Reading Circle.

Mathematics:
• Learn dodging table 2-10.

• Learn how to play MONOPOLY so they may practice addition and


subtraction.

• Practice IKMC Past papers of last 3 years i-e 2021, 2022 and 2023.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE :
1. Plant Press Book:
Go for a nature walk and collect different leaves and flowers. Press them between
sheets of paper and create a plant press book.
2. Bookmarks on the theme of Saving Water:
Create two bookmarks on saving water.

3. Zoo Album:
Visit a zoo, take photos, and create an album featuring the animals you saw, along
with a description of their natural habitats.(desert, ocean ,forest)

4. Gratitude Jar:
Write things you are grateful for on slips of paper and put them in a jar.

5. Diversity Chain:
Cut out paper shapes in different colours.,write unique strengths and qualities on
each cut-out shape. Then combine them into a paper chain.
6. Find out the words and ways in which people from around the world greet each
other. Write the words on coloured papers and explain those words in English
/Urdu or Roman Urdu.

• Learn and rewrite the following words 30 times on loose sheets and make a file.
