II. BRIEF CONTEXT/PERSPECTIVE OF THE ACTIVITY

In today’s world, Technological advancements and sustainable infrastructure are driving progress, but
many students lack exposure to innovation-driven industries. At La Salle University, there is growing
interest in green technology, digital entrepreneurship, and sustainable practices. However, students
often struggle to find hands-on opportunities to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. This gap
between academic learning and practical experience limits their ability to actively contribute to a
sustainable and technologically advanced society. Therefore, initiatives that bridge this divide are
essential for empowering students to shape the future of innovation.

The root of this problem lies in limited educational resources, a lack of networking opportunities, and
misconceptions about the accessibility of innovation. Without structured programs that connect students
with industry leaders and emerging technologies, many graduates enter the workforce unprepared for
the challenges of modern industry. The effect of this gap is a missed opportunity for students to
contribute to technological and infrastructural advancements that could benefit both the economy and
the environment. Personally, this situation is concerning because it limits students’ potential and
discourages them from exploring careers in sustainable innovation. By addressing this issue, we can
unlock new opportunities and empower students to take an active role in industry transformation.

This project was chosen because it directly addresses the disconnect between education and real-world
industry needs. Instead of offering general awareness campaigns, this initiative focuses on equipping
students with practical knowledge and exposure to real-world applications. Through activities such as
the Innovation & Tech Forum, the Entrepreneurship Workshop, and the Sustainable Infrastructure Walk,
students will gain insights into cutting-edge technologies and sustainable business models. As an
organization, we commit to providing access to experts, fostering collaboration, and encouraging
students to explore digital transformation and eco-friendly industrial practices.

This project will involve a series of engaging and educational activities aimed at empowering students
with knowledge and hands-on experience in industry innovation. The primary beneficiaries will be
students, faculty, and aspiring entrepreneurs within La Salle University who are eager to explore
careers in technology and sustainable industry. To maximize impact, we will collaborate with local tech
startups, business incubators, and sustainability organizations. These partnerships will help provide
mentorship, industry insights, and potential career pathways for students, ensuring that the project
creates lasting change beyond the university setting.
III. OBJECTIVES
This project aims to:

1. Increase student awareness of SDG 9 and the role of innovation in sustainable development.

2. Equip students with practical knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship, digital transformation, and
industrial sustainability.

3. Foster collaborations between students, industry professionals, and innovators to create

sustainable solutions.
