REPORT ON THE SESSION
INTRODUCTION : The session titled "Build with AI" was conducted by
Google Developer Groups OnCampus at JSS Academy of Technical
Education, Noida. It aimed to introduce students to the fascinating and rapidly
evolving world of Generative AI, or GenAI. The session was designed to break
down complex AI concepts—like large language models, reinforcement
learning, and AI agents—into easy-to-understand ideas, helping students
grasp not only the theory but also the real-life impact and applications of these
technologies.
OBJECTIVE OF THE EVENT: The primary objective of this session was to
spread awareness about the dynamic and cutting-edge field of Generative AI.
It focused on explaining the underlying principles, tools, and transformative
potential of GenAI across different sectors. Additionally, the session aimed to
spark interest among students in participating in the Google Solutions
Challenge, and offered a step-by-step walkthrough of the registration and
onboarding process.
ABOUT THE EVENT: The session kicked off with a friendly and accessible
introduction to what GenAI is all about. GenAI, or Generative AI, is a field
within artificial intelligence that focuses on the creation of new content—be it
text, images, music, or code—based on patterns learned from existing data.
What makes GenAI stand out is its ability to not just interpret data, but to
create fresh, original outputs that mimic human creativity. Unlike traditional AI
that classifies data or makes predictions, GenAI takes a more imaginative
approach, generating entirely new content that resembles what it has learned.
Through this engaging explanation, students were able to appreciate the
power and promise of GenAI in shaping the future
CONCLUSION: The session was an enlightening introduction to the power of
GenAI and its applications. It motivated students to explore emerging AI
technologies and provided a path to apply their knowledge through the Google
Solutions Challenge.
