Below is the information related to the budget of Amman City Council (ACC), local
government in State of Kedah for the year 2024.
a. Estimated revenue (Detailed-Group Object) are as follows;
Assessment tax RM41,816,760
Contribution in lieu –State government RM 3,691,093
Payment for business licenses RM 7,780,917
Payment for Services RM 8,300,886
Sales of printed goods RM 367,231
Rental for Building RM 7,696,682
Rental for vehicle RM 2,840,110
Fine and Penalty RM 2,593,210
Unclaimed Money RM 40,000
Annual grant by federal government RM 6,243,238

b. Estimated operating expenditure (Standard Object) are as follows;


Salary and Wages RM27,016,469
Statutory Contribution for Staffs RM 8,722,082
Communication and utilities RM 760,440
Rental RM 794,700
Maintenance and Repair RM41,431,269
Other capital assets RM 568,022
Gratuity to staff RM 57,600
Domestic contribution RM 1,248,850
Scholarship and education assistance RM 50,000

c. Estimated development expenditure.


Total estimated development expenditure for the year 2023 is RM18,562,850, where
RM8,290,000 is contribution from federal government for the improvement of
infrastructure, while the state government of Kedah contribute RM1,690,000 for
socio-economic and public facilities project. The council proposed to spend
RM8,582,850 for landscaping project, directly taken from City Council Consolidated
Fund.

d. Amman City Council (ACC) adheres to the Objects Codes for Revenues and
Expenditures outlined in the Malaysian Treasury Circulars PS 1.1/2013.
