Greenland
Greenland is the world's largest island, located between the
Arctic and Atlantic Oceans, east of the Canadian Arctic
Archipelago. It is an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of
Denmark, with its capital at Nuuk. Greenland is known for its vast
ice sheet, which covers about 80% of its landmass, making it a
key area for climate research. Despite its name, Greenland is
mostly icy, with a small population concentrated along its ice-free
coastlines. The island has a rich indigenous Inuit culture and is
known for its dramatic landscapes, including fjords and glaciers.
