CHARACTERS

Father: Ravi
Mother: Anitha
Sister: Radha
& Hari (the hero of the story)

SCENE 1

Father: (seeing the broken video game of Hari’s)

Father: Hari, Hari...

Mother: where are you Hari? Daddy is calling you

Hari: Yes, daddy

Father: (shouted) You are wasting my hard earned money without knowing the value
of it.

Hari: so what?

Father: Tomorrow onwards you have to earn Rs.5 and bring it to me.

Hari: "cool dad"


SCENE 2
(Hari has no plans of working)

Hari: Mummy, give me Rs.5

Mother: Go and take it.. it's in the drawer..

Hari: Thank you Mom

Mother: OK dear

Hari: (smiling) daddy, I have got this coin

(father throws the coin into the well)

Father: Bring me another coin

SCENE 3

Hari: Sister, give me Rs.5

Sister: Here it is.. Don't buy chocolate

Hari: OK.. thank you

Hari: (Go to his father) Daddy, Rs.5

(father again throws the coin into the well)

Father: Bring me another coin

(This process is repeated)

(Father came to know that the family members supported him)

Father: Don't give any coin to Hari

Mother & sister: OK


SCENE 4
(Nobody gives money to Hari)

Hari: (sadly) I didn't get any money. What to do?

Mother: Come and have your breakfast dear

Hari: Ok ma (finished breakfast and comes out)

Hari: (Walking) What to do? What to do?

(goes to nearest market and helped the vegetable venders to earn his
Money)

Father: Hari, Hari..

(Hari comes) where is your coin?

Hari: (tiredly) Its here dad

(Father gets ready to throw the coin into the well)

Hari: (angry) Daddy, I have struggled all day, worked so hard to get this coin and
you want to throw it into the well. I shall not allow it.

Father: (Smiled) Now you realize the value of hard earned money. So many days I
threw the coin but you didn't say a word. Today you are cribbing because you
had earned it.

Hari: yes

Father: I also have to work hard every day to earn for you and the family

Hari: (realized his mistake) sorry daddy. Now I realized the value of money..
Hereafter I never do this mistake and keep my things safe.

Mother: Good to know my dear son, now its your study time 
