Mahendra Singh Dhoni is considered to be one of the greatest cricket captains in the
world. He was born on July 7, 1981. In his school days he was fond of playing football and he was a
excellent goalkeeper, his football coach sent him to local cricket club to play cricket. He never played
cricket before but he managed to grab the concept perfectly. His wicket-keeping skills amazed everyone
in the club. When he was 18 years old, he played the first match in Ranji Trophy for Bihar and scored a
half-century. At the age of 21 cricket club offered him job as Ticket Examiner work in Midnapore of
West Bengal in 2000.

He was practicing except from the working hours. By this he had improved in his game and he was
selected to International Indian cricket association in 2004, his score in the first test match is
224 and he was the leading caption of the Indian cricket team . In 2011 he made a history by hitting 6
in last ball of the match. Because of him the India had won the world cup after 28 years. He was
awarded Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna, the highest honor for a sportsperson.
