The company started in 1994 as manufacturing arm for auto supply

wholesalers that used to import parts from Taiwan. It was named Nito Seiki by one
of the incorporators. Nito was adopted from Benito, a major influence in the startup
and vision of the company’s name Nito Seiki, which means precision in Japanese
language, which gave birth to the company's name NITO SEIKI
MANUFACTURING CORP.
Initially, the focus of the company was the commercial vehicle market.
These comprise of various trucks and jeepney models. We have produced
replacement parts like: brake drum, clutch assembly, brake hub, draglink kits and
assembly, hangers, u-bolts, center bolts, water pump kit assembly, knuckle pin,
knuckle assembly, mag wheel bolts, headlight switches, and etc.
By the year 1996, the company has diversified its operation s and has put up
a material division. This department became a vital part in the growth of our
company by providing us with a competitive edge in the price and quality of
materials. We have produced free cutting, SS400 and S45Csteel in cold drawn
form, round or hexagon. Since we have one of the widest ranges of material in
small sizes, we became wholesalers to steel importers who need special sizes.
Power Press department was acquired in 2001.The venture was part of the
effort to sell all other investments in other companies and consolidate our assets to
complete our goal of the "One Stop Shop".
Since the start of the century, replacement parts prices have tumbled. To be able to
survive this crisis, Nito Seiki started venturing into other fields; industrial, semi-
conductor, dies and molds, hardware item telecommunication, fasteners, food
equipment, medical, dental etc.
2003 was the start of the OEM motorcycle sector for Nito Seiki. It started
supplying not only to Kawasaki Motor Phils. Corp. but also to their major suppliers
as well. Honda and Suzuki suppliers were also entertained. Then in 2004, the
company started supplying to our first OEM car assembler; Mitsubishi. The
challenge was to compete in the ASEAN region for machined parts for their export
components.
The year 2005 is the year Nito Seiki Mfg COrp started its ISO 9001:2000
Quality Management System. Various programs with the help of ECOP:
Productivity Improvement Program,5's Program, Problem Solving Approach- SGA
Small Group Activity has been Launched.
2006. Certified for ISO 9001:2000. Joined the
Automechanika 2006 Fair.
2007. A very promising year. Besides our first direct export to
Europe, we also supply Isuzu,Honda,Nissan Diesel and othe
OEM companies.Beginning of international marketing catering
to the electronics/semi-conductor and other industrialparts.
We have envisioned that Nito Seiki's 30 PERcent sales
should be into direct export. We are striving to able to be an
export supplier by 2008 and be moved into the Export
Processing Zone by 2010.

NARRATIVE REPORT

Planting tree has a process and it is never easy in the first place because one
has no assurance if that tree will grow up so h or she takes a risk. Definitely, one will
do his or her best to make that tree grow. The question is, am I prepared for the
result if that tree will grow or not after I struggle? Should I try my best again to plant
to struggle? What if I failed again another struggle?

As a risk taker, you should continue what you started, yes. The beginning is
always the hardest. You have no idea, you’ll start at who, what, where, when and
how. You’re entering the darkest tunnel and you don’t know when you see the light
of the morning. You’re climbing to a rocky mountain patiently consistent no matter
how hot or how cold the temPERature is; you’re motivating yourself to please not
stop just take a rest if you’re tired, just weep the tears and sweat, have the courage to
stand after you slipped. You’re walking in the darkest street hearing the
unpredictable sounds and you feel nervous even the hair in epidermis has a reaction,
but still you continued walking you conquer your fear. Inhale, exhale.

The night owl was done; the sunrise is coming. A brand new day to those
who wait for this new hope. Be prepared; you might encounter again new trials, new
challenges to resolve. You’re just playing the game and it’s up to you. If you have
the courage to win, you can do all your best. Remember this quote “quitters never
win and winners never quit”. So never stop believing. Be brave, strong, bolder and
firmer. Keep going because you’re almost there. No matter how hard, no matter how
tough, endure the pain. Soon you’ll be ripening the fruits of your sacrifices. Don’t be
afraid of rejections; embrace it rather.
We studied 16 years. Then in our last year of studying, it is where we
underwent on-the-job training where we applied all what we have learned. It was the
time we exPERienced how to manage working under pressure and dealing with
workmates. That’s the time we learned how to talk and communicate intellectually
to our manager and supervisor. That’s the time we applied what we have learned in
Personnel management, the rules and regulations of DOLE and the company.

January 29, 2018

First day to start our battle to complete the 800 hours of our “on-the-job
training”. After our orientation for four days, my supervisor imparted his
knowledge in invention and introduced unfamiliar commands which are used in
drafting different kinds of items/parts in car, airplane, electric cigarette, motor cycle
and others.

As a beginner in mechanical designing, it’s not easy to start, to analyze

unfamiliar thing. I wanted to give up. I did not like this because it was very difficult
to start. Then suddenly, I realized that everything can be learned and the beginning
is always the hardest. I encouraged myself with my own motivation “If others can, I
also can”. In our first day, it’s very hard from point to the axis until I created one
item. I accomplished piercing die assembly that has 10 components. I did it in 2
dimensional because my supervisor instructed us to do 10 components in 2
dimensional to check our capabilities in dimensioning in a right place, in correct
position and in tangible area. After I accomplished those components, I felt
overwhelmed. I absorbed such things.

January 30, 2018

Second day, we woke up early us usual. Since our boarding house was near our
company, we walked every day; so, “the struggle was real”. As I entered the gate of
our company, I felt nervous. I was afraid thinking “What unfamiliar things I’m
going to encounter today?”
My supervisor unexpectedly called me. He introduced me the “order
monitoring 2018” wherein I was going to enter the assembly name, component part
name, part number, order quantity, batch number, date delivered and status of that
order of customer. I was tasked to monitor, to update what’s happening to a
product, whether the same was ongoing or pending. Unexpectedly my supervisor
gave me the “Ensayo equipment gym.” My supervisor taught me how to do the “job
order” and “delivery receipt”. I’ve got 3/8 pin assembly (modified). I entered this in
monitoring with part no. D-17-12-007e and order quantity.

January 31, 2018

Third day, my supervisor sent me to material section to get the “Raw material
inventory 2018” of Ensayo gym equipment. I got the material type, material size,
quantity on hand. In the afternoon, Ma’am Shen introduced me the inspector of
quality control, production control, CNC lathe, CNC milling, manual section, power
press. She also guided me on production; she explained the process of production.
She taught me how to do the “PER or parts Evaluation Report”. Every part of that
product needed to be done the report should be detailed. I was the one to inspect, to
updated on what’s happening with that product.

February 1, 2018

I sensitively created accurate PER. The part name, part number, the material used
were all considered. Ma’am Shen taught me how to input drawing files in proPER
places so that it should be easy to find. I monitored my report at CNC lathe section.
I scanned some of our drawing files.

February 2, 2018

I updated the male and female 3/8 assembly in monitoring. I entered the batch no.
1801293. To follow up that product, called production control and asked about the
status of the product. I updated the “smith barbell stainless 58” and “short smith
barbell 51”. In the afternoon, we had customers from Columbian motors. I started to
sketch in inventor the t-fitting 22 x 38 x 57 and elbow fitting 24 x 42 x 45. Since
that product has a thread, my supervisor instructed me not to draw the part of thread
because tomorrow he would be the one to explain. I did the solid part. Since we had
no overtime in our department, I went to Q.C. to punch pinning. Then suddenly
there was one guy who came and offered warm hand shake. He was one of the
inspectors of quality control. He asked my name asked a favor, that every time I
would go to Q.C., I should wear my sweetest smile because he’d feel butterfly on
his tummy.

February 3, 2018

Sixth day, it’s Saturday. I followed up the 3/8” male and female assy. I continued
to draw the t-fitting and elbow fitting. My supervisor discussed about the thread on
how to determine the pitch and the nominal. Example: ½ - 20 UNF –TPI means
thread PER inch. We needed to convert it to mm equivalent of 1 inch is 25.4 mm,
divided it by UNF 20 equals 1.27 pitch. We could apply this especially when we
would do the threading. We had overtime at Q.C punch pinning of pipe as usual.

February 5, 2018

Finalizing the product of Columbian motors “t- fitting 22 x 38 x 57”. Ma’am

Naneth, our line leader re-checked my work. Since today we had no many items to
do, I did shredding. The shredding machine is where we put the drawing papers that
has error or any confidential papers to cut into strips to avoid copying the process of
this company.

February 6, 2018

I updated the batch number of 1” rail collar of Ensayo. Since I’ve done the
Columbian motors, I assisted Ma’am Shen in doing parts evaluation report. I
created the report of Ensayo short smith machine barbell, 1 st process, operation in
manual. Automerge enterprises: axle nut 10pa1 re tapping process, operation in

April 2,2018

Hello, it’s Monday and 4days of vacation was over. It was already April.
I’ve overcome the 2 months of training full of up’s and down’s like a roller coaster
not only in the job training but even in my everyday living here at Manila. “Nobody
said it was easy” but it’s up to you on how you’re going to manage yours. I’ve
learned how to budget my money, focus on the important things first before my
own, think of my safety and my bag specially when I’m in crowded place, t walk
by the pedestrian lane, and to treat myself just to relax after those stress full days.
Since today was Monday, we did not have have rush projects. My buddy

May 14, 2018

CLEARANCE day. So we went to our company to surrender our caliper that we

used to measure, the uniforms which served as the identity of being a trainee and
the goggles which was protection for our eyes whenever we went to production to
check some items. All our DTRs were signed by our manager. She said that we’ll
get our certificate of completion after we get a message from office.

May 17, 2018

I Received text message from our company and they said “Ms. Rochelle you still
have 16 hours balance, you need to finish it first before we issue your Certificate of
Completion”.

May 18, 2018

All I thought my 800 hours was already done but then, our HR told me that I have
balance of 16 hours; so since today was Friday, I woke up early. I went to our
company to continue my battle. I redraw the items of our customer Advance
“Clamp, Handle, Shaft, Locator Pin, Thread Bushing”

May 19, 2018

Last day to complete the 16 hours remaining over 800 hours. In the morning, I
went to production and headed to the supervisorof CNC Milling, Sir. Torrechante to
get the tools they’re going to use for the operation of advance. I processed the
signature of supervisorin every department needed to New Product Development. I
redraw the items of advance “removal die, installation plug, and ring nut.” After the
bell rang because it’s already 4pm, I went to HR room to follow up my certificate of
completion; then Ma’am Rocy gave it to me finally. She asked me if I wanted to
stay, to go back there because I had a good Performance. The 800 hours was
already done finally. I’ve learned a lot.
Playing a battle by settling bigger goals in playground, I must have the courage to
win. It is the preparation for myself to accept the errors and have the courage to
start something new for the better improvement. A trainee should endure the heat of
the sun if he or she wants a gold medal. He or she should endure the cool drops of a
hard rain if they want a trophy.

It is advised that to upcoming trainees that you should encourage yourselves to

stand strong after you fall and to motivate yourself to never ever give up so
quickly because the beginning is always the hardest. You have two choices on
the wave of the sea, to follow it or contradict it? Well, it will depend upon the
situation. We train ourselves to become better individuals so that in our next battle,
we are prepared and we have the guts to face the new challenge in life. I’M
STRONGER, BOLDER, BRAVER AND FIRMER enough to step forward for my
next journey thy so called ----THE WORK LIFE.
