Preposition is tells about 3 things i.e. Direction, Time & Place/Location
1. Uses of “ON”
i. For Surface
The paper is on my desk. T
The book is on the table. T
He is on the bus stop. F
ii. For Days & Date
They met me on Sunday.
I was born on 26th Jan, 1999.
iii. For Devices & Machines
He is on the phone.
The show will be telecasted on TV.
She has been on the computer.
He is solving the sum on calculator.
iv. Body Parts
My mother kiss me on forehead.
The cream fell on my leg.
She wear her engagement ring on her finger.
v. State /Condition
Virat Kohli was on fire.
He has been on bed rest.
Mango Juice is on demand.
2. Use of “ONTO”
i. Same like on but use when any movement involve.
The cat jumped onto the Table.
Move the books onto the table.
She climbed onto the roof.
He stepped down from the train onto the roof.
ii. When fully aware about anything (Informal use)
They know I will onto their plan.
He cancel the surprised party when he came to knew that we onto his
surprised.
3. Use of “UPON”
i. Immediately after doing something or something happen
Ali got married immediately upon passing out the college.
Upon declaration of her result she rushed towards her mother.
ii. Something is going to happen but still not happen
Eid Ul Azhar is almost upon us.
Our exam will be soon upon us.
His payment is going to be due upon us.
iii. In place of ON when more formal that “ON”
E.g. Depend, Congratulation, Expense, Happen & Insist
My whole future depended upon Allah.
They congratulated him upon his success.
iv. When one noun is important than other.
He worked hard year upon year.
He crossed further mile upon mile.
v. Movement same as ONTO

4. IN Sit anywhere/place that cover with 1 to 4 side. E.g. Home & City in the sense of
full coverage from all sides. If we use specific location then AT will be use in place of
IN. E.g. In a city home is a specific location. I am at home.
5. AT Exact point to tell specific location. E.g. Facebook status show specific location
E.g.
I am at canteen in the school. ON
I live at Jamky Cheema in Daska. What is on the table?
