2.6. Additive set up menu

CONFIGURATION
ADDITIVE SETUP
2.6.1. "Flow Rate" parameter

ADDITIVE SETUP
Flow Rate:XX
One pulse is generated on the "Pulse duplication" output of the register each XX litres enter in this
parameter. This output is used for a double volume display, an additivation or a link with a computer.
It is adjustable between 01 and 99 litres.

2.6.2. "Alarm" parameter

ADDITIVE SETUP
Alarm:X
This parameter allows to activate an alarm when an additive default occurs.
0 : Additive alarm will be ignored.
1 : Delivery will be terminated if no additive feedback is received within the programmed
time period.

To use the alarm, the additive injector must send a feedback signal to the register when the additive
has been injected and when the additive cylinder is filled.

Note : If alarm=1 but Delay=0, alarm will not active for the additive associated to the parameter Delay.

Edition of the 04/10/04 7/19 U511281-E Revision 1

2.6.3. "Volume" parameter

ADDITIVE SETUP
Volume 1:XXX
The "Volume X" value is the amount of product that must flow for the additive process to be activated.
As the additive process has two stages (filling of the additive cylinder and injection), the amount of the
product that must flow for the additive to be added must be divided by 2. For example, if 100 litres of
product must flow for one charge of additive, the volume setting must be set to 50.
It is adjustable between 000 and 999 litres. For 000, no additivation.

2.6.4. "Delay" parameter

ADDITIVE SETUP
Delay 1:XXX
It is adjustable between 000 and 999 seconds. For 000, no alarm for the concerned additive.
The register activates the output, to the selected additive, after the amount of litres programmed in
VOLUME has passed through the system. This indicates to the injector to fill the cylinder with additive.
At this point, the register starts a timer and waits for the feedback signal from the injector. If the
register receives the feedback signal within the number of seconds programmed in DELAY, the
delivery will continue. If no feedback signal is received, the register checks the ALARM parameter and
if set to 1, terminates the delivery or if set to 0, continues with the delivery. The register de-activates
the output after another batch (volume) of litres passed through the system. This indicates to the
injector system to discharge the additive into the product. Once again, the register will monitor the
feedback signal. The above process repeats until the delivered volume reaches the preset volume.
The value zero in the DELAY parameter indicates to the register not to check for the feedback signal
for the additive associated. The parameters VOLUME and DELAY are repeated for every one of the 6
additives.
Repeat steps 2.5.3 and 2.5.4 for each of the next 5 additives. (maximum of 6 additives)

3.4. Alarm reset : test 3

Alarm is a security which allows to lock on the register if delivery errors programmed in the "Mask
Error" parameter occur. This parameter is present in the "METER SETUP" menu.
When the register is locked on, no delivery can be done. The test 3 unlock the register.

Note : after the unlocking of the register, it is advised to research the reasons of the error.

3.5. Output test : test 4

OUTPUT TEST
Output No:X
This test allows to test the 10 outputs present on the J2 connector of the register.

Each output is associated with a number, enter the number of the output to test.

-1 : J2-2 (alarm)
-2 : J2-22 (additive 1)
Only one output can be tested at a time. To view the
-3 : J2-4 (additive 2) enabled output, checking equipment must be
-4 : J2-24 (additive 3) connected.
-5 : J2-6 (additive 4)
For example, an LED display in series with a resistance
-6 : J2-26 (additive 5)
(10kohms). When the output is tested, the LED is
-7 : J2-8 (additive 6) lighting if the output is right.
-8 : J2-28 (not used)
-9 : J2-10 (not used)
- 10 : J2-30 (not used)

For more information on these outputs, see Installation notice reference U511627.

3.6. Input Test : test 5

INPUT:123456789
* *
This test allows to test the 9 inputs presents on the J2 connector of the register.
When a input is tested, a star is displayed under his number. If the input is out of order, the star is not
displayed.
In this example, the inputs 2 and 6 are tested.

-1 : J2-39 (earthbond)
-2 : J2-19 (overfill)
-3 : J2-37 (additive 1) To activate these inputs, they must be connected to a
-4 : J2-17 (additive 2) 24V DC maximum voltage via a resistance (10kohms).
-5 : J2-35 (additive 3)
-6 : J2-15 (additive 4) Note : to do this test, pin J2-14, 16, 18, 20, 32, 34, 36,
38, 40 must be connected to the ground.
-7 : J2-33 (additive 5)
-8 : J2-13 (additive 6)
-9 : J2-31 (input not used)

Note : all the inputs can be tested at the same time.
