ILL is an introduction to the main elements, types, and genres of literary texts.
Students will learn the specific language and the techniques of drama, fiction and ‫توصي‬
poetry and analyze how rhetorical strategies and language construct meaning in ‫ف‬
Course Description literature. Students will respond critically to a selected corpus of texts through class

discussion and written evidence-based literary arguments. They will learn to read,
interpret, analyze, and develop arguments and essays about literature. ‫ر‬

2. Apply various elements such as theme, plot, character, setting when writing about
literature.
3. Analyze various genres of literary texts by using the appropriate literary

how literature is different from other forms of artistic expression.

9. Any other excuse that faculty member deems necessary

Procedures:
1- The student must send the leave application and the required documents to the faculty member by e-mail.
2- The student must attend the online classes or the recorded ones during the period of absence.
3- In case the faculty member refuses the leave application, the student can complain about the decision at the Dean of the
college, and the Dean's decision is final.
