ESS user guide for employee profile

Employee Perspective:

Once employee logs into his/her ESS application, the following screen will be displayed.

Dashboard contains profile details, Query Status, Holiday List, Birthday List as well as Company Announcements as
shown above.

Employee Profile
When employee clicks on ‘Profile’ tab, he/ she will be navigated to employee profile page and personal
information will be highlighted as shown below.

When employee clicks on ‘Employment’ tab, will be navigated to the employment page with the current
employment details as shown below.

When employee clicks on ‘Identification’ tab, will be navigated to the identification page with the identification
list as shown below.

When employee clicks on ‘Bank Details’ tab, will be navigated to the bank page with the bank list displayed as
shown below.

Pay slips
Employee will able to view his/ her pay slips by navigating to ‘Pay & Benefits’ tab.

Employee has to select the Month and Year to view his/ her Pay Slips for particular period, employee can also
view the below details under “Pay & Benefits” tab.

Dynamic Tax Calculator

Employees have an option called Dynamic Tax Calculator where they can play around and see how tax exemption
can be availed. So as to use this tool, employee has to click on the below highlighted option available under “Pay
& Benefits” tab:

Once Dynamic Tax Calculator is clicked upon, below shown screen will appear where employee can insert his/her
investments (where View/Modify option is available), and system will auto calculate tax amount as per the
updated investments.

****Note – Any update done in Dynamic Tax Calculator will have no impact on Actual Tax computation. This tool
is just for employee’s reference. So as to get actual tax exemption as per the investments, employee has to declare
his/her investments under Investment Declaration tab which is explained next.

Investment Declaration
Employee will be able to fill in the ITDF declaration during a particular period specified in a month. The ITDF
declarations will be completed within the time frame specified.

The ITDF page looks similar to the one displayed below.

When employee clicks on ‘Exemption’, the following page will be displayed.

In above page, employee has to be update his/ her Rent details.

When the employee clicks on ‘House Property and Other income’, the following page will be displayed, which
contains details pertaining to the house property and other income declarations.

When employee clicks on Investments, the following investment page will be displayed, where employee can
declare the details of the investment made in terms of PPF, Bonds, LIC etc.

Once all the investment declaration details are updated, click on “Submit”

Flexi Benefit Plan
In order to claim a higher tax benefit through the Flexi Benefit Plan, employee has to select the below highlighted
option. The option of FBP will be open only twice a year. In case employee is a new joiner, it will be in the
subsequent month.

Employee can choose the option by clicking on “Option Icon”, and then allocation towards specific reimbursement
component can be done. Limit of each component is set already so that system will be able to restrict over and
exceeding claims.

Amounts allocated cannot exceed the upper limits set for each component. In case employee puts an amount that
is exceeding the limit, system will throw an error as per below:

Tax Relief Benefits: Below are the tax-free components to employee compensation

Reimbursement Application
Flexi Benefit Plan amount should be allocated/ submitted in order to claim the tax exemption for reimbursement
under Income tax. To apply for Reimbursement, employee has to click on the below highlighted tab of “Pay &
Benefits”:

Once employee clicks on Reimbursement option, below shown screen will appear where by clicking on Apply
button, respective reimbursement application can be made:

Raising a Query
To raise a query, employee has to select the below highlighted “Raise Query” tab:

After which below shown screen will appear, where employee has to select “Raise a Query” as highlighted below:

Employee can also view History of queries on the same page.

Once “Raise a Query” option is selected, below shown screen will appear with different Query types available.
Employee can select the query from the dropdown, update the subject & description of query and click on
Submit.
