OVEARALL COURSE OBJECTIVES

The syllabus of this course is specially designed for the students who need to know the basics of mathematical topics essential for their study of
computer science or digital logic. As Discrete maths is the mathematics of computing and basics of modern computer science is built almost
entirely on discrete maths. In order to learn the fundamental algorithms used by computer programmers, students will need a solid background in
these topics. All the topics covered in this module will help the students to understand "Algorithms, Complexity and Computability Theory" of
any programming language.
Students after completing this course will be able to:
 Represent data using various mathematical notions.
 Explain different terms used in basic mathematics.
 Describe various operations and formulas used to solve mathematical problems.
