Problem Session 4

The document outlines a problem session for Foundation Engineering I, detailing various calculations related to shallow foundations, including bearing capacity for strip, square, and circular footings. It also includes scenarios for groundwater table effects on a square footing, checks for a specific square footing under axial load and moments, and calculations for mat foundations on clay layers. Additionally, it covers the determination of ultimate bearing capacity, allowable bearing capacity, and factors of safety for different foundation designs.
