PAST CONTINUOUS STRUCTURE

Affirmative, Negative, Question
Affirmative: Subject + was/were + verb-ing
Negative: Subject + was/were + not + verb-ing
Interrogative: Was/Were + subject + verb-ing? Remeber that QUW can be used too.
Use:

Actions happening at a specific moment in the past.

Interrupted actions: I was working when my phone rang.

Parallel actions: While I was cooking, my partner was cleaning.
