Instructions for CDR Customers
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Exit CDR (or EagleSoft or Patterson Imaging) if it is running and verify the following:
CDR2000 Remote Module is NOT connected to laptop or desktop PC. If
connected, disconnect the Remote Module by unplugging the USB cable.
2. Install Firmware 36 Software:
Insert the CDR Firmware 36 CD (supplied) into your CD or DVD drive.
Click Install Firmware 36 Software when the start page is displayed. If the
page does not display, browse to setup.exe on CD and double-click the file
to launch it.
Click Next at the Welcome Screen.
Click Install at the Ready to Install Program Screen.
Click Finish at the end of the installation.
If prompted, click Yes to restart the laptop or desktop PC and wait until the
system restarts before continuing.
3. Upgrade Remote Module to Firmware 36:
Re-connect the Remote Module and any Sensor to your laptop or desktop
PC.
Browse to your Desktop and double-click on the “Upgrade Firmware”
shortcut, which starts the utility and upgrades the Remote Module to firmware
36 (about 10-15 seconds). Do not disconnect the Remote Module or the
Sensor during the upgrade.
When complete, the utility closes automatically.
4. Start your imaging program and take several sample exposures:
Note: If CDR DICOM is your imaging program, refer to the CDR DICOM User
Guide for instructions on taking X-rays. For other programs, refer to the
procedures supplied by the manufacturer. In either case, please continue
with the following steps.
Create a sample X-ray exam.
Place a radio-opaque object like a coin or clip on the active (flat) side of the
Sensor.
Take several sample exposures and verify image quality.
5. Please repeat the preceding steps for every CDR2000 Remote Module in your
office.
