STATEMENT OF THE
PROBLEM
1. How do collaborative learning strategies in mathematics
influence the development of problem-solving skills?

2. In what ways do collaborative learning strategies

enhance students' ability to work effectively in teams?

3. How does collaboration in the Math subject contribute to

the development of teamwork skills among Grade 11 STEM
students at ACLC College of Taytay?
OBJECTIVES
1. Evaluate the impact of collaborative learning strategy on
the students’ development of problem-solving skills.

2. Assess the impact of collaborative learning on students'

ability to work effectively in teams.

3. Evaluate the contribution of collaborative learning in

mathematics to both problem-solving and teamwork
development.
SCOPE AND LIMITATION
SCOPE

This study focuses on how collaborative

learning affects the problem-solving and
teamwork skills of Grade 11 STEM students at
ACLC College of Taytay through collaborative
learning in the Math subject
LIMITATION

This research is limited to Grade 11 STEM

students at ACLC College of Taytay and does
not include students from other strands or grade
levels. The study focuses solely on mathematics
and does not extend to other STEM subjects like
science, technology, or engineering.
PRESENTATION OF
OBJECTIVE

strategy on the students’ development of problem-solving
skills.
This is addressed using Q1 to Q3.
The presentation includes:
Student reflections on how group work and
discussions help them understand math problems.
Detailed explanations of how collaboration leads to
deeper understanding, flexible thinking, and increased
confidence.
Literature support (Aporbo, 2023) to validate the
findings.
Objective 2: Assess the impact of collaborative learning on
students' ability to work effectively in teams.
This is addressed using Q4 to Q6.
The analysis highlights:
Improved communication and cooperation in group
settings.
Enhanced adaptability, teamwork, and interpersonal
relationships.
External study support (Satchakett & Thana, 2019)
confirms collaborative strategies boost teamwork
and satisfaction.
Objective 3: Evaluate the contribution of collaborative
learning in mathematics to both problem-solving and
teamwork development.
This is addressed using Q7 to Q10.
The presentation shows:
Students’ combined growth in both academic and
teamwork areas.
Emphasis on trust, support, communication, and
division of responsibilities.
Scholarly support from Klang et al. (2021) underlines
