1. Aim: Install VirtualBox or VMware Workstation on any operating system
and set up various flavors of Linux or Windows as virtual machines.
2. Objective: Installing VirtualBox or VMware Workstation and setting up
virtual machines involves a systematic process.
3. Procedure:
VirtualBox Installation:
a. Download and run the VirtualBox installer.
b. Click "Next" to proceed with the installation.
c. Continue clicking "Next" until the installation process starts.
d. Click "Yes" when prompted by User Account Control.
e. Click "Install" to begin the installation.
f. Wait for the installation to complete.
g. VirtualBox icon will appear on the desktop.
VMware Workstation Installation:
a. Download the VMware Workstation installer for Windows from the
VMware website.
b. Run the installer and accept the End User License Agreement.
c. Choose the installation directory and enable options like enhanced
keyboard driver.
d. Click "Next" to proceed and then "Install" to start the installation.
e. Wait for the installation to finish.

f. Enter a license key if available, or click "Finish" to complete.
g. VMware Workstation Pro is now installed, and you can launch it
from the desktop shortcut.

5. Learning Outcome
a) Understand how virtualization creates and manages multiple virtual
machines on a single physical system.
b) Gain hands-on experience installing and configuring VirtualBox or
VMware Workstation and setting up virtual machines.
c) Learn to manage and optimize virtual environments by configuring
resources and controlling virtual machines.
