INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES
1. Candidates must bring any ONE valid Original photo ID proof for verification that contains full date of birth, such as (i) Voter ID
Card, (ii) PAN Card, (iii) Driving License, (iv) Student ID issued by current school/ college (v) Passport (vi) Aadhar Card, etc. to the
examination centre. In case you do not have any of the above photo ID proofs, please get both Part “A” and Part “B” of this Admit
Card attested by the Principal of your current school/college or a Gazetted Officer.
2. CANDIDATES WITHOUT VALID ORIGINAL PHOTO ID PROOF WILL NOT BE PERMITTED FOR THE EXAMINATION.
PHOTOCOPY/DIGITAL COPY OF THE PHOTO ID PROOF WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AS VALID.
3. CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ENTRY TO THE EXAMINATION CENTRE WITHOUT THE PRINTED COPY OF THE ADMIT
CARD.
4. DIGITAL COPY OF THE ADMIT CARD WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AS VALID.
5. The gates of the examination centre will be closed 30 minutes before the commencement of examination, after which no
candidate will be allowed entry under any circumstances.
6. Candidates, who have been tested Covid-19 positive recently and are in compulsory/mandatory quarantine as per the
Government’s guidelines/instructions, shall NEITHER be allowed to enter the Examination Centre NOR take the Examination.
7. Further, if any candidate is having mild fever, cold-cough etc., he/she shall NOT be allowed for examination in order to avoid spread
of COVID-19 infection.
8. Candidates shall ensure physical distancing and are advised to wear the face mask during the entire duration of the examination.
9. This Admit Card does not constitute an offer of admission nor an entry to appear for the subsequent stages of admission process.
You are provisionally permitted to appear for DAT Prelims Exam 2024 as per the schedule given in the Admit Card.
10. Verification of uploaded caste certificates will be carried out after DAT Prelims exam. In case of any invalid certificate, rules and
regulation as mentioned in the Admissions Handbook 2024-25 shall be followed.
11. Candidates must bring blue/black ball-point pen (for filling the OMR sheet), scissor, glue stick, lead pencil (of varying grades),
colors (such as oil pastels/color pencils/sketch pens, etc.) eraser, sharpeners, ruler etc. for the purpose of examination.
12. No refreshments shall be provided by NID.

13. Note that the items listed hereby are strictly NOT allowed inside the examination centre: mobile phone, any type of watch, bag,
handbag, papers, notes, books, calculator, electronic gadgets, correction marker/white fluid, etc. It is clarified that there will be
no arrangements at the Examination Centres for keeping the aforesaid items. If any item is lost, the Exam Centre and NID will
not be held responsible. Candidates are, therefore, advised either not to carry the aforementioned items with them on the date
of the examination or to make their own arrangements for keeping such items in safe custody at their own risk.
14. Any candidate found using or to be in possession of such unauthorized material or indulging in copying or adopting unfair
means is liable to be summarily disqualified.
15. Before opening the Question cum Answer Booklet, read all the instructions on the cover page carefully.
16. Possessing any electronic device such as mobile phone, tablets, calculator, digital/smart watches, etc. by the candidate
inside the examination center before completion of the examination will be considered as attempting to take or send the
Question-cum-Answer Booklet in full or in part outside the examination hall. Appropriate civil and/or criminal proceedings will
be initiated against any candidate taking, or attempting to take, or send, the Question-cum-Answer Booklet in full or in part
outside the examination hall besides cancellation of his/her candidature.
17. There will be NO Negative Marking for wrong answer.
18. DO NOT carry the Question-cum-Answer Booklet or any part thereof outside the examination hall. Doing so is a punishable
offence.
19. No candidate will be allowed to leave the examination hall before the end of examination.
20. The candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills all the eligibility conditions for admission. The admission at all stages of the
examination for which he/she is admitted will be purely provisional and subject to his/her satisfying the eligibility criteria. If
upon verification at any stage of the admission process it is found that the candidate does not fulfill any of the eligibility
criteria, his/her candidature shall stand cancelled without any notice or further reference.
21. Request for change of examination centre and date will not be entertained. Any attempt to influence will lead to
disqualification of candidature.
