V. ABOUT YOURSELF (not more than 100 words, each)
a. What are your career objectives?
My goal has always been to make a real difference in the way children learn, especially in government
schools. Over the years, I’ve found that supporting and working closely with teachers is one of the most
powerful ways to do that. I’m passionate about helping teachers grow—whether through training,
mentoring, or just being part of a learning community with them. Going forward, I want to deepen this
work—especially in areas like early language and math—and also continue learning myself. Eventually,
I’d like to contribute to larger changes in the education system, but always by staying connected to
what’s happening in real classrooms.
b. Are you satisfied with your current job? if you are, could you please tell us why?
Yes, I am satisfied with my current role — it has given me the opportunity to work closely with
government school teachers, develop training programs, and engage in meaningful research around
teacher professional development. I’ve learned a lot, especially about integrating technology in
education and supporting teachers in real classroom contexts.
c. Why do you want to join us?
I’ve always admired the Azim Premji Foundation for its deep-rooted commitment to improving public
education in India — not just through programs, but by working closely with teachers and communities.
Your approach aligns strongly with what I value: long-term engagement, building teacher capacity, and
creating real change at the classroom level.
Over the years, I’ve worked with government school teachers, designed and led training programs, and
mentored educators in both urban and rural settings. What excites me about this role is the chance to
be part of a team that not only supports teachers but also promotes reflection, collaboration, and
continuous learning. I see this as an opportunity to grow further — not just in my skills, but also in my
values and contribution to society.
d. What are your expectations from the job?
My main expectation is to be part of a team that is deeply committed to improving the quality of
education, especially in government schools. I hope to engage meaningfully with teachers — supporting
their professional growth, learning from their experiences, and building communities of practice that
make a lasting impact on students’ learning.
I’m also looking forward to growing personally and professionally — through fieldwork, peer
collaboration, and ongoing learning. I value honest reflection and democratic working environments, so I
hope to contribute to and learn from a culture that encourages critical thinking, shared responsibility,
and mutual respect
e. Do you see an alignment between your academic background, your work experience, long
term career goals and this role of Resource Person / Teacher Educator? If yes, how? If not,
what do you consider to be a misalignment?
Yes, I see a strong alignment across all these areas. Academically, I’ve pursued degrees in education
(M.Ed, B.Ed), which have given me a solid grounding in pedagogy, curriculum, and educational theory.
My work experience — especially with IT for Change and Sathya Educare — has focused on training
government school teachers, developing educational resources, and building teacher capacity, which
directly relates to the responsibilities of this role. In terms of long-term goals, I want to continue working closely
with teachers at the grassroots level while also contributing to larger systemic improvements in
education. This role allows for both — engaging directly with teachers, and being part of a values-driven
organization that’s committed to long-term, sustainable change in public education.
So yes, I see this role as a natural and meaningful next step in my journey as an educator.

f. What motivates you to work towards improving the Public Education System of our country?
The belief that every child, regardless of their background, deserves access to quality education — and
I’ve seen firsthand how powerful public education can be in creating opportunities and transforming
lives.
Working in government schools, I’ve seen both the challenges and the immense potential that exists
within the system. Teachers are doing incredible work, often with limited resources, and when they’re
supported well, the impact on children is immediate and meaningful.
I’m driven by the idea that strengthening public education is one of the most direct and equitable ways
to bring about social change. It’s not just a job for me — it feels like a responsibility and a way to
contribute to something bigger than myself.
g. Describe any situation in your professional life when you succeeded without any/much
guidance or direction? What was the learning?
One situation that stands out is when I was leading the implementation of the ‘Technology Integration
for Equitable Education’ project with government school teachers. While I had a broad framework, I had
to independently design the training modules, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and mentor
teachers—many of whom were unfamiliar with technology—in their own classroom contexts. There
wasn’t a set roadmap. I had to understand the local needs, build trust with the teachers, customize the
content to their comfort levels, and iterate based on what worked in the classroom. It required a lot of
on-ground problem solving, listening, and adjusting on the go. The biggest learning for me was the
importance of being adaptive and empathetic—success isn’t about having all the answers up front, but
about co-creating solutions with people on the ground. It also reinforced that meaningful change takes
time, relationships, and deep contextual understanding.
h. What do you consider your strengths?
One of my core strengths is designing and facilitating teacher professional development programs that
are practical, reflective, and grounded in classroom realities. I’m also good at building strong
relationships with teachers, which helps in creating a safe space for sharing, learning, and change.
Another strength is my ability to integrate technology meaningfully into education — not as a flashy
tool, but as something that supports deeper learning. I’m also very organized, which helps in planning
workshops, coordinating with stakeholders, and documenting progress clearly. Lastly, I’d say my
strength lies in being a continuous learner. I actively seek feedback, reflect on my practice, and enjoy
working in teams where knowledge is shared and built together.
i. What do you consider your areas of improvement?
I’ve written reports and articles, I sometimes hesitate to put my thoughts out more publicly or
academically. I’ve started attending more writing workshops and seeking feedback to strengthen this
area. Another area is balancing depth with time management. I tend to get deeply involved in program
planning and classroom observations, and I’m learning to prioritize better and delegate when needed so
I can stay effective across responsibilities. I see these not as limitations but as areas where I can
continue growing, and I appreciate roles that challenge me to stretch in those directions.
